Summer: Turn 2

Research:
-Resource Preservation

Building production:
-Drone Chamber (Bonus to IC Production)  +.2 IC

Other
-Continue hunting for Hosts at the rate of Vector production. Any gained past this point are to be killed for food.
-Automatically create Drones from Vectors + Hosts when available. Send all such Drones to Hunt by default, unless given specific orders otherwise.
The Drone chamber could not be completed. Drones had problems digging through the stones, and resources were scarce.

No new Vectors were born this turn. Adding to that, suitable hosts have become scarce, in the close forest, as many larger predators now stay away from these areas.

Research:
-Food processing - continue.

Clout:
-Nothing

Building production:
-0 ic, 5 food

Construction
-Nothing

Other:
-Engage 1 free pop in hunting, spending 1 clout on it ofc.
There were false rumours of a breakthrough. A certain spice prevented food from rotting, but when eaten later it made people sick.

The hunters hunt went well, and mainly small game was caught. On the way back, the troup was confronted by a gigantic lioness, larger than man and with a terrifying roar. The hunters held ground though, and the beast left peacefully.

The abundance of food results in increased population growth, and expansion.

Research
Continue advanced hunting and trapping research.

Construction
Build a work hut, devote 0.5 IC and 1 pop to it, remove 1 pop from the warrior hut for the construction then have them work in the new hut.
Other
Send out another hunt using 1 population, continue capturing all possible predators alive.
Have all of the wolves tamed trained as war wolves, have the female wolves of breeding age put into seperate pens and introduce selective breeding.
Use only the best males for breeding.
Use 2 clout to encourage population increase.
A second work hut is constructed.

The hunt goes great. Several wolf packs are lured into traps and caught, and even one wayward bear.  They are trained for war, and stored in seperate pens. Selective breeding is however a concept unknown to your people, for now.

Population increases tremendously.

The fisherwomen returned, the boat leaking from several points. The usual boats being really small and used for short trips only, only little waterproofing was necessary. Turns out this isnt enough for this one. Use of sap to colmate the leaks and cracks is considered, and tried. Balancing such a big, long boat turned out to be difficult as well. Suggestion is made to add a balancing bit to the side. That also could improve regular boats.
Meanwhile, life continue as usual.

Research:
-Boat waterproofing

Building production:
-Fishing docks (+5 food)
-Crafting square (+1 IC)
-Caverns of the Melded Maidens (+1 Clout)

Construction:
-add a balancer to the big boat. Like this, but with a slightly bigger boat.
Work on using plant saps as a way to reduce water getting into the boats is tried, but not very succesfull for the time being.

Nevertheless, subsequent constructions are added to the big boat. It makes it a bit harder to move, but it's unlikely to tumble now.

Population grows.
A shudder moves through the island, as if the Leviathan has moved suddenly.

The squid circles the pillar, curious as to its origin, destination, and purpose. Is it a gift from the Eye?
Else where in the ocean, squids dart around, continuing their work.

1 unit: Attempt to determine what the pillar is made of, and in what direction it is moving. Attempt to return it to the Eye.
If that is impossible, remember its location, and continue exploring.
Continue Research.

The Squids gather around the island, and pull. Suddenly, the pillar moves, it shoots upward, and dissappears into the sea. Nothing much interesting is found for the time being.

Nothing else interesting happens.

Research.
Stone Skinning Tools.

Other
Send out spare population unit to explore for other villages.
The explorers manage to find a village. It is however, completely ruined. After a while, they manage to find the survivors, huddling away in a cave nearby. They tell a story of how terrific monsters attacked their village in the midst of the night, and agree to join your settlement.

With the population growing, it is decided to momentarily stop the Boat production and to improve the food and goods production. After a short debate, building of a harvesting camp begin. It will be used to harvest food and fiber-y moss from the lush Leviathan's back.

Population: 6

Research:

Building production:
-Fishing docks (+5 food)
-Crafting square (+1 IC)
-Caverns of the Melded Maidens (+1 Clout)

Construction:
-Harvesting camp: produce food and vegetal ressources (increase Crafting Square's IC production)

Autumn/Fall: Turn 3

Research:
-Resource Preservation

Building production:
-Drone Chamber (Bonus to IC Production)  +.2 IC (Constructed out of Biomass as the rest of the Hive) +1 Clout

Other
-Hunts end.
Research into Resource preservation continues.

The drone again start the construction of the drone chambre. However, the thing collapses again, under the weight of the things above. (bad rolls)

With the commence of fall and the impending winters the hunts are stopped, and all retreat to the burrow.

Research:
-Food processing - continue.

Clout:

Building production:

Construction
-Nothing

Other:
-1 clout on hunting.
-1 clout on building a food processing(whoops) a palisade.
A breakthrough is made, and your civilization now posseses rudimentairy means of preserving food. Still, practical inventions based on these new insights still need to be developped before true progress can be made.

Your hunters are send out to gather food again, but with little succes. Even in the warm south, the winter shills are starting to be felt, and many larger animals are heading even further South.

Construction of a pallisade is rapidly completed, and the primitive town now has it's first fortications.

Population remains stagnant.

Research
Use 1 RP to continue work on Animal Attraction.

Construction.
Spend 1 IC and devote 1 population to constructing another work hut.

Spend 1 clout to continue encourageing my population to breed.
Send 1 pop out with a wolf pack to track down and capture more predators.
Send 1 pop out with a wolf pack to track down and capture deer, pigs, cows and any other animals that can be bred for food.
No breaktrough is made in animal attraction.

Another work hut is constructed.

Population increases again. However, this promotion of reproductive activity is starting to become part of the tribal culture

Despite the start of the fall, the hunters do manage to capture a lot of animals. Nothing special, but a good amount of smaller pack predators and herbivores/

Construction of the harvesting camp is finished without problems. However, autumn and winter storms are rising, and might hamper nautical activities for the time being. Fishing is not in danger.

Research: Continue Kill the Whales!

Clout: 1 to encourage population growth.

Pop: 1 unit to continue exploration.
The biyearly hunts start again, as the whales migrate back towards the South. They are slain without problems. One entrepreneuring squid discovers that their bones are quit sturdy, and might make good tools.

Population growth is slow.

The group finds nothing of interest, again.

The villagers are taken aback by Flyox's speech. His influence is increased dramatically, and he could try to impress his ideals on the social culture now.

Another hunters hut is constructed, and manned too.

No monsters are found. The scouts do however find a pack of featherwolves roaming the lower parts of the mountain. It's doubtfull that they did this, but possible.

Flyox The Slimy crouches on the edge of Crater of Dragon Peak, to the north of his village. A good portion of the population had come out to see the proceedings. He didn't indeed to disappoint.

"My brothers and sisters. We live in troubled times. Monsters stalk our peaks and wolves hunt on our foothills. But we will persevere. These northern peaks have spoken to me through their fumes and fire. They say I am their son and their voice! The right to lead the Echolost belongs to myself and my chosen successors!

Those who worship under my wings will be fruitful in life, and untied with my father for eternity after life ends! I am God, King, and Speaker of the Volcano, and my word is prosperity!"

The winter comes. Although it is the relatively warm winter of these latitudes, it is still colder than summer. Research on the Boat is stopped. Time is working in our favour, with the Leviathan coming closer and closer together. [a couple meters (1-10) a day... equivalent to .3-3.5km a year. Barely faster than tectonics] The Mitoshondr shift their focus on making fabrication of houses, boats and tools easier.

Winter: Turn 4

Research:
-Resource Preservation

Building production:
-Drone Chamber (Bonus to IC Production)  +.4 IC (Constructed out of Biomass as the rest of the Hive) +1 Clout

Other: Non-essential population go into hibernation to lessen food consumption at the cost of being unavailable until Winter passes.
Research comes really close to a breakthrough, but not yet.

The drones again attempt to construct a Drone chamber, but the cold outside makes it very hard for them to do so. No real progress is made. (Stop rolling horribly)

Inside the hive, food and heath are plentiful enough to prevent the need for hibernation. At least for now.

Research:
-Food processing - invention

Clout:
-Nothing

Building production:
-0 ic, 5 food

Construction
-Nothing

Other:
-Engage 2 free pop in hunting. In south.

The hunt are successful, and very plentiful. A large amount of food is gathered, mostly out of small prey.

Research
Use 1 RP to continue work on Animal Attraction.

Construction
Spend 1.5 IC and devote 2 pop to constructing 2 work huts.

Other
Send 1 pop out with bows and 2 wolf packs to hunt down more wolves and bears, bring them back alive.
Tame the 3 new groups of animals, have predators trained as war beasts and stick herbivores into a spare paddock to use for food.
Use 1 clout to encourage population growth.
Use 1 clout to encourage families to train children in archery and forest related skills from a very young age.
Work on animal construction continues.

The snowfall turns out to be problematic for the construction, and no progress is made

The hunts are succesfull, many of the wolf packs and bears are captured. However, on the last hunt, there was an incident. The hunters were tracking a bear, but when they thought they found it, all they found was it's carcass, torn apart completely. They immediately started to follow this new, larger hunter. The hunt took a good part of the day, but eventually they found it. A giant wolf, larger than a bear even. Subduing it was difficult, but it was, while heavily wounded, brought in safely.

More warbeasts were trained. However, food is becoming scarce, and several of the herbivores already needed to be slaughtered.

Procreation has entered the clan's tradition as one of it's key parts.
The education, has however no real effect. Training has always been part of the clan's tradition.

Pop growth continues despite the winter.

Population grows slowly.

The explorating squids manage to find something. They're not sure what it is, but they brought it with them. It resembles a small, dark obsidian pillar, with a weird pulsing glow in it.
