HAHAHA THEY LAUGHED AT ME, but with the establishment of just two more trade routes my monthly income has shot up to 6k already. Soon I will capitalize on many more.

Well excuse me Mr. Pope! Give me a little time to accrue capital old lad.

EDIT: With optimal, non-saturation trading I could probably pull in half of that in my local cluster. I guess we'll find out. I'll keep you updated with my exploits. (Including smuggling medical supplies to certain quarantined planets because !!CAPITALISM!!)

I think it's been ages since anyone has successfully broken quarantine, so I sincerely hope you succeed in spreading the plague as it should be interesting

Oh? After my time then, as far as I recall their quarantines were far too effective while I was running transportation in Draco. Hadn't heard about this. Verily, did plague ravage the galaxy? Tell me it was so.

In Baade news, Boehm has managed to be so incompetent as to have his senators vote against his own motion. [/friendly ribbing] The imperial drama drags on and the Emperor-Elect gets ever closer to timing it. This is hilarious.

And the civil war has finally kicked off. We were keeping things rather civil by only targeting mil facs, then Ordo Malleus joined in and "accidentally" wiped out my main shrineworld. Was seriously considering trying to zerofac him then decided to be the bigger man and just demilitarize him forever. So that's my new (secret) goal. Infiltrate his house, and provoke diplomatic incidents as needed to destroy his forts. FOREVER

Hey! I play House Wöther in Draco. It seems the Galaxy is now seeing some activity, related to our ban of Tech Houses, and another Bay12 member and I founded an alliance.

We were winning, when the enemy managed to ally with the silent giant number one player in the galaxy, and now are using allied defence to build guardposts and hide behind her doomstacks (100+ Legions planetary garrisons anyone?). Kind of annoying.

Uhh... is there anything I should know before trying to join this game?

What servers are you people active on?
Are there newbie pitfalls?
What spheres do you recommend?

We have 23 players on Draco, and me on Baade.
Going renegade, witholding taxes, building unprofitable facilities, violating plague quarantine. Destroying myst facilities with a military operation. Sending rookie agents to infiltrate houses.
Technology and Mysticism if there's space for them. If not, Geological/Transportation/Leisure.

I just made an account for house Craxis on Draco.  Chose Mercantilism as my sphere, since my starting planet was really rich.

Thinking about making Covert Ops as my secondary, to support the sweet sweet illegal goods smuggling.

Covert Ops doesn't have any effect on mercantile smuggling iirc. For that you would want to go politics, get elected, and mess with monopolies/trade restrictions. Give yourself a monopoly on water. All those who oppose you will die of dehydration!

Covert is a fun sphere though. If you take it, I would recommend having covert as primary though, having newly created agents start at standard is huge.

Well I need money to get started.  I may try to switch it to primary.

Also, isn't tech as your primary banned in Draco?  Pretty sure it is, I already got yelled at for that.
