Anyone else have times like this?
« on: April 19, 2013, 10:18:43 am »

Went to a camp. I was all alone, around 15-17 highly leveled bandits attacked. Not one survived.... It was a good day. :D there were literally like 5 bowman +1 crossbowman as well. >_< It was a really long fight.

Tell about your single-handed-no-help boss exploits! Oh yeah, and i threw a gold coin and hit the warlord in the head. XD

I once went into the sewers and utterly wrecked shop on a few dozen snakemen.

It was glorious.  My adventurer eventually over-exerted himself from swinging his sword so much that he collapsed.  After I got back up, I killed the rest.

Haha! Awesome! This is one of my most favorite games because it's a sense of accomplishment. In battlefield 3 or whatever, shooting someone in the face, the bombing a jet is nothing, but punching a guy's throat in this game makes you feel so amazing. XD

i threw a bolt at a dragon, which chipped their toe. The dragon proceeded to give into pain after walking a few steps, i went up and stabbed it's brain.

I found a lair. There was three night trolls inside. I retreated quickly, but one of them was quicker. It punched me, but... I killed it with counterstrike. I don't even attacked, it was just automatic counterstrike which slashed troll's head off. Other two attacked. Another died with thrown bolt through its head. Only the last one gave good fight.

I once had the most amazing dwarf ever. In his adventures he killed a great many bandits and night creatures, 3 rocs, 5 titans, 2 Ettin, one cyclops and 2 giants.

The only time he was ever injured was in an ambush while travelling to the elven kingdom (I'd given elves, dwarves and goblins human hamlet/town sites so I could visit them in-game), the initial ambush decimated my companions - they all died - and my brave dwarf killed every last one of the bandits - except the leader.

The battle with the overlord ended quickly, but not without injury. The overlord charged me, striking my right upper arm with his axe, damaging the tendon! I dropped my steel battleaxe because of this, but quickly dropped my shield to grab my axe with my left and and cut the bandit's head clean off!

Oh and by the way, this was the ONLY injury this guy ever sustained. So pretty much that entire character was a long endless string of these moments.

I had a new adventurer stumble on the kolbold's main cave settlement by pure happenstance. I was a little concerned because it was basically the first fight the adventurer and there were plenty of them, but one thing led to another and I ended up massacring the entire lot of them. Somewhere

Another thing comes to mind, I was just leaning on the arrow key to cross some damn frozen river and in a blur, something ran up to me and promptly died, I just noticed blood splatter a few tiles back. I looked at the combat log and a Giant wolverine had attacked me, missed and was counterattacked with a punch to the head, jamming the brain through the skull without even breaking stride.

With 11 companions, I was promptly attacked by 25 goblins. Most of my companions were killed or mortally wounded in the first few rounds, so I had to destroy almost every goblin by myself. Before I even realized it, I had killed all the attackers in sight and was routing the last few who had managed to flee.

Every ambush my character Cobar has ever gotten into goes like that. Mostly. There was one time when he spent the entire ambush getting the crap kicked out of his unconscious self.

There was this one Dwarf adventurer I had in region2 that only had one fight. I made him, then snuck through the wilderness strangling snapping turtles and throwing rocks until I finally reached a bandit camp a few hours before the sun was due to come up. I was really only expecting five or six bandits at most, but it turns out there was something like a score of them. I only managed to take out three before I was discovered (throw rock, bandit eventually gives in to pain, stab in the head, repeat).

So for the rest of the night I ran around in the dark killing and maiming bandits. They had a few masters, including their leader, a master bowman. It was a hell of a fight, and I was all crippled up by the end, but I didn't pass out until I'd killed the last of them. I'm pretty sure I've already told this story in another thread now that I think about it, but whatever. I've already written the post, might as well post it.

She still had a long way to go, and that six-limbed armadillo devil godking wasn't about to kill itself."

Well, I was once attacked by a goblin, and with one stroke I tore apart his heart
I was baffled how he continued to live.

Once i went into the dungeon of a town, and killed some bandits, all the normal things.
And then i walk into the room, and find a single bandit.
I go over to him, and start attacking, but he gains the upper hand, and is constantly making me fall unconscious from beating me on the head with some sort of pistol. (I was playing the Masterwork mod.)
However, he could not make me die, and i could still move around for short amounts of time.

And then i had a idea.
Because i could not attack him with my sword reliably, i crawled to the market, falling unconscious many times, until we reached the destination.

And then many shopkeepers murdered him.
It was a good day.

I had a dwarven wrestler once win a fist fight against a human vampire.  Funnily enough, both combatants had only hand available to fight with.  I think my dorf had his hand cut off, and the villagers that the vampire killed crippled one of his hands.  It was a cool fight, punches and kicks being thrown, and I was getting the worst of it.  I was holding on, but I definitely had more bruises.  Eventually, my dorf auto-grabbed the vampire's tongue, and I took him down to the ground with it, where I stomped his head into the dirt.
