You give the Goblin Shaman the Awesome Inscribed Wooden Staff (Crystal On Top not included)™. She is quite grateful for it. When you ask her if she can read, she tells you she can read Goblin Runic, but not the Common Human Runic the book is written in. What a shame.
You also try to swap magical knowledge with the
Goblin Shaman. She tells you the requirements and the execution of Heal. She also tells you that it's the last spell she'll teach you, however.
Just before you head off, you decide to ask her about your
Unidentified Armor. She tells you to ask the Beardless Dwarven Smith, as he's a smith and she's a shaman.
(1/5) You start searching for the ingredients of Infused Substance. You manage to find some... Half-Fluid Substance, as well as some spare Wooden Logs. You can't find a Metal Nugget, however.

Wait, can we read Common Human Runic? If so, offer to teach the shaman how to read this script in return for her teaching us Goblin Runic. Since we have a common language and we're both reasonably intelligent, it shouldn't be that hard, should it?

After making the offer (if we can read) and doing this, go and interview the smith about what our armor and sword actually are - are they magical? Also, ask him for a few nuggets from the metal deposits that were delivered to him if he hasn't spent them all on weapons and tools yet (surely that can't be the case).

You return to the Goblin Shaman and offer her to teach her how to read Human Runic. She, however, doesn't show any interest. "I have no use for it. If I wanted to be able to read it, I'd cast a spell to be able to. I am simply not interested in that shitty human-magic."
You shrug and head on to the
Beardless Dwarven Smith. "Mhm, that armor of yours is Simple Leather-Steel Armor. It's decent, but there's obviously better out there. Your sword is made out of iron, with a small enchantment to improve durability. Oh, and Metal Nuggets, huh? I've got a few spare ones. Iron, decent quality, bit small though."
You get 3 Iron Nuggets.

Get wooden logs and a whole bunch of Substance (all that you can find, no Substance is too awful or unusual), then, using 2 nuggets in the process, try to infuse all of it.
