Pertinent question and possible answer, Are the Slinkar Carnivorous? The mind control the Morey use might render interrogation and conversion less than helpful, and they have probably already done all the physical examinations they need...

((The Slinkar are the epitome of the carnivorous being. They are omnivores, but they prefer meat and will eat pretty much anything, dead or alive.))

So it would seem likely that any captured Morey resources have been repurposed into Slinkar military resources. The majority of the mass of such things other than static installations have probably been converted into raw materials...
Do we have any facilities or practises concerning taking prisoners for the Morey? Can we communicate with the enemy forces and try to get a bit of a Geneva convention thing happening?

Geneva? From a telling of Airi these dudes are Nazi's. They don't care about morality and only about trowing us to the ground, shooting us, and then probally eat our dead corpses. At one point we must bomb their home world with some kind of dirty bomb.

((The Slinkar do not negotiate with those it deems its enemies.

They would be more likely to laugh in your face, shoot you then eat your corpse or, more likely incapacitate you, torture you and then eat you alive, kicking and screaming.

The ONLY known force in the known universe that gives the Slinkar nightmares are the Vanguard. And by nightmares i mean they will run as fast as their legs and spacecraft can take them in the other direction if possible all the while crying for their hatch-mother.

By the way, update tomorrow. Forgot today due to various things. Will answer questions though for roughly the next hour.))

Can the AA hit low flying vehicles?

((Yes. The AA is designed to maintain a no fly zone around the spaceport, only allowing permitted ships to access the area.

You could try to fly straight into it, as the Slinkar may have not thought to take the Morey ship signatures out of the computers....but that would be up to the dice, as would the effectiveness of the AA.))

i say heck yes because we don't have many more places to do this atk.

Unless we can go straight for their supply base/ a random army post.

It might have less defenses and it would prove to be a good landing spot once properly set up for an organised assualt of our old HQ. we can't just jump over the old HQ's walls now can we? an if the star port is out than what else is left?

((You could always go through on foot. You could possibly take less casualties that way.))

That sounds like the best idea. The Presidentess would really like it if our first mission resulted in 50% fatalities.

On foot would be a good way to travel BUT we need to take that HQ back quickly.

I say we land far enough away to avoid AA fire from the Ship's docks and then take it by force once our lines are made. We'll have to break their lines quickly and efficiently so snipers to keep them off the walls and light assualt/infiltrators being the spear. Followed by heavy gunners to provide point defense systems all the way till we can take what space vehicles we need to ram that gate open at our HQ. Once taken get out of their ASAP and begin moving away and towards the HQ. we'll have hyper plasma used to cover our retreat and some more improvised traps also.

I know we shoudn't but maybe blowing up their communications array at the port/tower would be a good way to keep our presence from leaking out to that HQ? If their far enough apart they won't hear any "WERE UNDER ATTACK!"? or they might hear/see the explosion of our nuke and be like "......their back?!?"

Disagreement on the specifics. I vote that we have a solid mix of troops make up the spear, with few to no infiltrators. Infact, if we could have some parachute/airdrop/droppod in, then lets have them knock out the comms in preparation for the assault.
On the spear composition, I recommend heavy and light assault on the edges with a core of support and CEs. The scouts should be flanking the base and preforming 'death-by-a-thousand-papercuts' style attacks. If they encounter no resistance or eliminate it, they are to form up with the main group.
Ask over battlenet if anyone knows any Vanguard battlecries. If they do, we might be able to use them to intimidate the Slinkar.

Wait, the ocean is near by? Are the transport ship capable of acting as pseudo-submersible?
