Check to make sure that we still have the stone. If so:
"Yes."
If not:
"Where did it go? Oh criminy."

You return the SPIRAL STONE and TELESWITCH in exchange for STORE CREDIT equal to 1150 GOLD.

Hand over stone. Use your newfound store credit and refund to buy the Necromancer/Pirate's Journal and the Tree of Creation.
Help Charlie with the Wards or at the very least watch him do it.
Plant the Platonic ideal of Salt in the tree. End Chapter. Resume when the tree has grown fruit.

You purchase the TREE OF CREATION for 500 STORE CREDIT. CRAZY DAVE directs your attention to the other items, which contains, in addition to what it had before, two new items.

A TIN OF NECROTALK PILLS, which allows the user to speak with the dead. Give a corpse a pill, and it will speak as though it were alive for one minute. 200 Gold.
The WAND OF ETERNAL DARKNESS, a one-of-a-kind artifact created by PATTURGHA THE ANGRY. It's powers are awesome yet volatile. 350 Gold.
crazy dave's discount emporium regrets to inform that it no longer supports its famous alternate-payment methods.

You also purchase BLACK-HAND JACK'S JOURNAL for the remainder of you STORE CREDIT, and 50 GOLD. You have 800 GOLD remaining.
CRAZY DAVE shows you the following new item:
A TELESMITH STARTER SET, which contains a blank TRANSPORTATION PAD, an INSTRUCTION BOOKLET, and a BOX OF SUPPLIES. 600 Gold.

You contact Charlie, then head back to your TOWER to fix up your ROBES before meeting him.

By the time you and he are ready, dusk has fallen.

You escort CHARLIE to the ARCHMAGE'S TOWER, and he speaks with the ARCHMAGE about the specifics of what he is going to do.
It is rather technical, and you don't pay much attention to it.

Wait, we didn't get to loot the boss? But they always have the best gear! Nooooooooo :<
Item get: Giant scorched crab you can't even lift?
It's a boss monster. They ALWAYS have tons of money and equipment that it makes no sense for them to have! ALWAYS!
Especially pants for some reason.
What is this, the Kingdom of Loathing? Don't be silly, it's the Kingdom of...um...
Remember what the Kingdom's name is.

You are smack dab in the middle of MIDDLE EARTH, the imaginatively-named largest country in the world. To the north is FRELEDIR, followed by MELEDIR and BELEDIR. Together they form the ELVEN HOMELANDS. To the south is GRZARILL and MARROW CITY, populated mostly by goblins and undead, respectively.

You give CHARLIE the TREE PIN, and he begins RE-WARDING the TOWER, a process which takes many hours, far into the morning. You spend most of the process asleep, and in the morning you receive your reward.

Retroactively ask why Crazy Dave's isn't supporting alternate payments any more. "Was it some kind of legal issue?"

Remember what was on the island.

Drop a few shavings from some gold coins into the Tree of Creation, or a whole gold coin if shaving gold coins is illegal.

I'm pretty sure we already dropped the platonic ideal of salt we found on the tree, and even if we didn't, the platonic ideal of salt is still more valuable.

This update seems to suggest so.
The BLUE POWDER is, unless you are mistaken, ESSENCE OF SALT. It is the platonic ideal of salt itself, and is very valuable.
It probably dropped out of one of these holes, so CRAZY DAVE shouldn't have any problem with you taking it.

1. One of the suggestions he used for the update had putting the essence of salt in the Tree as part of the action.
2. Yes, that is true. We could go ask a merchant or someone whether or not the essence of salt is more valuable than pure gold, which would undoubtedly help us decide which to plant.

1. We never even returned to our tower in the update, or really did anything with that Tree except buy it.
2. Do that.

WizardQuest

> START CHAPTER 2

You are in your WIZARD TOWER, on the THIRD FLOOR. To the WEST is the SECOND FLOOR, to the EAST is YOUR BEDROOM.
You are wearing WIZARD ROBES, a WIZARD HAT, and a WIZARD PENDANT.
Your INVENTORY contains the following items: Your BOOK OF MAGIC, SPELLBOOK, JACK'S JOURNAL, 200 GOLD, three WANDS, and 200 GOLD.

You have no desire to speak with CRAZY DAVE if you don't need to; his voice makes your teeth hurt and the way he speaks without lips is disconcerting. You are fairly certain that he stopped accepting body parts because of new laws pushed forward by the BOARD OF DEMON SUMMONERS.
Apparently they don't want anyone breaking their monopoly.

The island -also known as the LOST CONTINENT- was overrun centuries ago by demonic monsters. The only known inhabitants are the Kobold nation ULBDFEI, who has been in a constant state of war with the monsters since before recorded history.

You cannot plant GOLD in the TREE OF CREATION, as you have already planted the ESSENCE OF SALT. It should provide a large boost to your income when the fruit reaches full size.

Check the Pirate Journal for Treasure maps.

There are definitely maps, but you can't where or what they lead to.
The entire journal is written in what you believe to be the same language found in the TOME OF DARK MAGIC.
Although the vast majority of it is indecipherable to you, you have gleaned some knowledge of basic NECROMANCY.

What will you do?
