make sure we have all our stuff, including Mr. MacGuffin.

Attack its weak point for massive damage, naturally.
+1
Quick! Aim for the cephalothorax!
Well, duh. What else would we aim for, the abdomen? The cephalothorax kinda blocks it...
This. All the This.

Use some lightning magic for this, it just climbed out of the ocean, so that should fry it nicely.

Duh. Of course. Salt Water is especially conductive.

You down a MANA POTION, in order to cast the most spectacular spell possible.

Your MAGIC CORE fills to bursting, and you can feel it pulsing with vast creative potential.

::EDIT:: OH, and conjure boss music.

You play some suitably crab-themed music in your head.
You think you'll use your COMBAT WAND, to maximise your assault even further.

SHOWDOWN

You let loose an EMPOWER THUNDERBOLT, the most damaging lightning spell in your SPELLBOOK.
The GIANT ENEMY CRAB casts POSIEDON'S RIPTIDE, the water spell's destructive power easily rivalling yours.

It misses, mostly.

You get a direct hit!

->

GIANT ENEMY CRAB: DEFEATED!

You seal your wounds.

The water is much shallower than you thought. The CRAB must have buried itself underground, waiting for prey.

You've retrieve the TELESWITCH.

->

greetings valued customer and/or disposable hireling! have you retrieved crazy dave's spinny stone?

Hand over stone. Use your newfound store credit and refund to buy the Necromancer/Pirate's Journal and the Tree of Creation.

Help Charlie with the Wards or at the very least watch him do it.

Plant the Platonic ideal of Salt in the tree. End Chapter. Resume when the tree has grown fruit.

It's a boss monster. They ALWAYS have tons of money and equipment that it makes no sense for them to have! ALWAYS!

Especially pants for some reason.
