You stash a SWORD, your ORB OF SHORTSIGHTEDNESS, and two MANA POTIONS in your ROBE.
While storing them, you decide to check the DOCTOR'S PAYMENT.


It seems that the DOCTOR left you a NOTE along with the GOLD.
You feel less worried about him seeing your SCARS now.

You travel to WHITEROCK CAVE. While you have never been here before, you have heard that the place is swarming with GNOLLS.
You don't know why GNOLLS would keep a TOME OF DARK MAGIC. You don't think a GNOLL would even know what a book is.


You enter WHITEROCK CAVE. There is a DORK here who, judging by his ARMOR, is a member of the FIGHTER'S GUILD. He is ASLEEP. SQUISHEE is AGITATED.

You are fairly sure the DORK is not an enemy, but it couldn't hurt to ask.
You give the DORK a firm poke.

The DORK proceeds to FREAK THE FUCK OUT.
Maybe he was having a nightmare or something? You can't think of any other possible reason for his wild FLAILSTABBING.


The DORK calms down after a minute and you ask him why he's here.


He replies that he was assigned to guard the entrance to the GNOLL DEN, and keep any GNOLLS from escaping and attacking the TOWNSFOLK.
He says that you can go in if you want, but he's not coming in after you if you need help.

Having Squishee as our beard is significantly more intimidating than a helm could be. Also, it would probably be a little too small.

Having Squishee as our beard is significantly more intimidating than a helm could be. Also, it would probably be a little too small.

You're not sure what tapping objects has to do with what SQUISHEE can or cannot transform into.
SQUISHEE has too little mass to cover your entire body with any thickness to make worthwhile armor, though you think a helm would be entirely within his abilities.
You keep him in BEARD form for now, and move on. The entrance to the GNOLL DEN is small enough that you have to crawl, but you get through with only some minor scratches.


The TOME is here. This seems SUSPICIOUSLY EASY.


Well, no point in looking a give horse in the mouth. You aquire the TOME OF DARK MAGIC and hold it above your head for a second.


Well, there's that done. Now you just have to bring it back to CHARLIE.


This is not WHITEROCK CAVE.

Transform Self into Leopard. Flexible enough to crawl out of the opening quickly, and dangerous enough to pose a threat to the Gnolls.
