Don't do that. Just actually remember it to avoid embarassment.
Well, if we know.

Instead, we can ask what it's doing here. If it has a good reason for being here, clarify that you were asking what he was doing, currently.

Carry the stones up the stairs with magic. If we start to feel magically exhausted, consume pixie stick.

Smoke pixie stick. Use newfound magical reserves to summon more pixie sticks. Peer through the keyhole of the vault.

Give tha golem longer legs. With MAGIC.

This is going to be tricky. GOLEMS are inherently magical beings, so ALTERING one will take a large amount of magical force.

->

->

You get it about half-right. You can't tell if you made things better or worse, so best beat a hasty retreat.

Ask the Koblin what a koblin is and why it's purple when almost everything else is black and white.

Ask what the koblin can do, anyways.
Don't do that. Just actually remember it to avoid embarassment. Inspect vault room.

A KOBLIN is a HALF-KOBOLD HALF-GOBLIN. You're not really sure of how that works, and you don't think you want to ever be sure of how that works.
The KOBLIN WORKER is PURPLE presumably because one or both of his parents were. The TOWER and most of the objects inside are WHITE because paint is expensive.

You seem to have forgotten your VAULT KEY. The last place you remember seeing it was in the PRIVATE TRUNK on the THIRD FLOOR.

Carry the stones up the stairs with magic. If we start to feel magically exhausted, consume pixie stick.

You would do that if not for two reasons. First, because you do not wish to be in the same room as the STONE GOLEM or KOBLIN WORKER.
Second, because you are currently being faced by an ELF VANDAL.

->

The VANDAL flees, but you don't think it will be hard to remember their appearance.

You are on the FIRST FLOOR. To the WEST is the DUNGEONS. to the East is the SECOND FLOOR. To the SOUTH is OUTSIDE.
You have nearly exhausted you MAGICAL RESERVES and you JIMMIES are RUSTLED quite thoroughly.

Chase after the vandal. Smoke your pixie stick in preparation for some magical ass-whupping.

Chase after the vandal. Smoke your pixie stick in preparation for some magical ass-whupping.

He's long gone. You begin consuming the rest of your PIXIE STICK in preparation for INTENSE MAGICAL EXERTION.

->

To be honest, this is a lot harder than you thought it would be. When you first moved to this town everything was looking up; you had PILES OF GOLD, dreams for the future, and nothing to hold you back.
Now you've spent almost everything on your TOWER, your dreams seem further away with each passing day, and you've attracted several DETERMINED RIVALS AND ENEMIES.

From the distance the TOWN looks peaceful and ordered. To the NORTH is your WIZARD TOWER, to the SOUTH is TOWN.

MEMORIZE the appearance of the ELF VANDAL. THAT DIRTY, ARROGANT TREE-HUGGER WILL PAY IN BLOOD AND GOLD. Possibly gold stained with blood. Or blood with unusually high trace levels of gold.

How did that elf get in here?
Do we not have a door?
Of course we don't.
Doors are expensive.
We spent all our money on stone.
And stone does not make good doors.
But we need a door.

We need to steal a door off someone's house and put it on our house, is what I'm saying.

Wonder why we decided to blow so much money on that massive engraving on the front of the "tower," and not something like a front door. Also wonder if we really are a wizard.

See if we can make the door sealed with magic, with us and only us able to open it.

Suggestion game pronouns are annoying.

Head south and check out the town. See if anyone is in need of our wizardly services.

It's not an engraving, it's a MAGICAL EMBLEM. It keeps the TOWER clean and protects it from WEATHER. This thing is the only reason the outside isn't covered in GRAFFITI like the inside.
It is also a factual and completely true statement of who lives in the TOWER, but that's not what you bought it for. Nope. Definitely not.

And of course you're a wizard! if you weren't, would you be able to do this?

You CONJURE a door. It is structurally sound and fufills its purpose in a competent manner, which makes it the best magic you've ever done. Look, it even has hinges and is attached to the walls! Amazing!
You would add a lock, but you're not exactly sure of how a lock actually functions so you can't visualize it properly. Also, you don't want to lock the WORKERS inside.

Head south and check out the town. See if anyone is in need of our wizardly services.

the TOWN appears deserted, which is not particularly unusual. In the months you've been here, you can recall only two occasions when there were more than two or three people out at any one time.
The first was when you yourself were carting your PILES OF GOLD down to the WORKER'S GUILD to pay for the construction of your TOWER. The second was a FESTIVAL dedicated to a local GOD, which you did not attend as you are not particularly pious.

The WIZARD'S GUILD is the logical place to seek work, since the TOWNSPEOPLE regularly post WANTED ADS here to plea for ASSISTANCE OF A MAGICAL NATURE.

MEMORIZE the appearance of the ELF VANDAL. THAT DIRTY, ARROGANT TREE-HUGGER WILL PAY IN BLOOD AND GOLD. Possibly gold stained with blood. Or blood with unusually high trace levels of gold.

You are unlikely to forget the ELF VANDAL, as they had a rather distinctive appearance. Perhaps you could post your own AD here in order to apprehend the scoundrel?

You are in the NORTH side of TOWN. There is a WIZARD'S GUILD to the WEST. To the NORTH is your WIZARD'S TOWER, to the SOUTH is the GENERAL STORE, and to the EAST is a RESIDENCE.
