Go to the Wizard's Guild.
+ JOB GET.

You enter the WIZARD'S GUILD. The ARTIFICER is here, selling some MAGIC ITEMS.
He directs your attention to the CAT'S EYE GOLEM, as well as the various WANDS. The GOLEM can allow its owner to share its vision, while the WANDS are, from left to right: an ARTIFICER'S WAND, which is very adept as focusing the user's magic to ENCHANT AND CREATE MAGICAL OBJECTS but is less useful at other types of spellcasting, a WARLOCK 7000, the latest combat wand from the esteemed WARLOCK line of combat wands, and a HIGH-QUALITY GENERAL WAND, which is neither adept nor poor at any particular branch of magic and is a straight upgrade in relation to your DISCOUNT WAND.
You are not carrying enough GOLD to purchase any of these items, though your VAULT still has a sizable amount.

The rightmost room is that of the local WARLOCK, who specializes in COMBAT MAGIC. He is a very friendly GOBLIN and greets you warmly.
this room also contains some TRAINING DUMMIES, which can be animated to dodge spells, and a TRANSPORTATION PAD to a slightly larger TRAINING AREA outside of TOWN.

The leftmost room is the QUEST BOARD, which is actually more of a QUEST WALL but it's owned by the GUILD so they get to name it.

The VARIOUS MISCELLANIOUS POSTERS are from the townsfolk and other non-guild members. These can be absolutely anything, and to collect payment you must talk to the person who posted it.

The ROUNDED SQUARE NOTICES are GUILD-ORIENTED WANTED POSTERS for various criminals or monsters. You collect payment for these by either bringing the pictured person or creature here to the GUILD, or in some cases killing them or obtaining proof of their death.

The OVAL NOTICES are for GUILD-ORIENTED GENERAL REQUESTS, which can be anything from repairing a fence to escorting someone to a far-off land. Payment can be collected from any high-ranking GUILDMEMBER, such as the ARTIFICER or WARLOCK.

The STAR NOTICE is a special quest, straight from the ARCH-MAGE. To apply for this quest you would need to take the notice to the ARCH-MAGE himself, who's office is this door right here.

You are inside the WIZARD'S GUILD, in front of the QUEST BOARD. To your RIGHT is the ARTIFICER and WARLOCK.
Which QUESTS do you wish to view, if any?

Just check the wanted posters to see if that elf has been vandalizing anything else. If not take a wanted quest to track down any elf who happens to be on the board. If the vandal wants to generalize you based on your race, you can generalize his race based on him/her.

ALL OF THEM! WE WILL BROWSE THROUGH THEM ALL!

There is a FARMER who has been getting threats from his neighbor and wants a BODYGARD[sic]. He's willing to pay 150 Gold.
There are two quests from the same person, one for retrieving an animate SUIT OF ARMOR, another for capturing a HUMAN ALCHEMIST. Both are worth 500 Gold, which makes you a little suspicious since that seems like a gross overpayment.
A townsperson wants a barrel of MANIC PIXIE DREAM DUST. You have no idea where to find this, but it's very expensive and he's willing to pay 750 Gold, which is more than fair.
A RESTURANT OWNER wishes for someone to take care of a RAT PROBLEM. 200 Gold.

A WIZARD is interested in a TOME OF DARK MAGIC that is rumored to be in the area. If you bring it to him intact, you get 400 Gold and a MAGIC ITEM from his collection.
A local DOCTOR needs willing patients for a new medical technique. Only 50 Gold, but the poster promises that the technique is harmless.
A TRAVELLING SALESMAN wishes to procure a SPIRAL STONE. He pays up to 1000 Gold in STORE CREDIT.
A LITTLE GIRL is missing. Her parents will pay 200 Gold for her safe return.

The WIZARDS GUILD is offering 300 Gold to vanquish or capture a TERRIBLE OUTLAW. It is also offering 400 for a FRIGHTENING FEY.
There is a MISSING DWARF who's whereabouts are worth 150 Gold.
The ARTIFICER trades in MAGIC ITEMS, which you knew. The WARLOCK deals in MAGICAL CREATURE TRAFFICKING, which you did not.

The ARCH-MAGE has posted a very curious QUEST, with no stated payment. This one is kind of unsettling in its vagueness.

You should think carefully before acception any QUESTS. While most of these have no repercussions for failure, it may give you a reputation for unreliability.
But then again, there's a lot of THEORETICAL GOLD here, which is almost as good as ACTUAL GOLD.

Look for the tome of dark magic. After all, we do get a vague "magical item." What could be better than that? It could even be more gold! Magical gold!

We can even copy down what's inside the book before we give it to him!
