Turn 1: It BeginsIn an alternate dimension to our reality, dragons are not things of myth and legend, they exist alongside humans. The two societies warred upon each other at first, but eventually, the societies began to become more peaceful, and soon combined. There were still wars, but they were between various nations containing both dragons and humans, rather than just one race against another. Technology advanced at a fair rate, arriving at our modern age after only 4000 years of civilization. Throughout this time, though, dragons had an agenda, it was long in unfolding, but at that time, they had gained control of all the major governments and corporations. It did not take long, only a short war, for them to subjugate the entirety of the human race, turning them into slaves. The dragons began ruling with an iron claw, they had dominated everything. But, the inner spirit of the human race could not be quenched so easily. Some of the humans and a few dragons who did not want what had happened began to form revolutionary factions in order to rise up against the oppressors. And they would fight until their last breath was taken, or the human race was once again free. In this time, some humans are beginning to exhibit abilities that have not been seen amongst them before. Either way this conflict goes, a new age is beginning.

Latent Ability: Bio-manipulation/Shapeshifting (Coria is capable of reshaping all or part of her body, allowing her to turn portions of her body into weapons such as blades or tentacles, or even to change her appearance to appear older, or as someone else entirely, though imitating other species requires much more skill than either of these.)
Appearance: Due to her powers, such information is inherantly unreliable, but her natural form is seemingly frozen at the point of her powers awakening, as a girl of approximately ten years of age, with short blonde hair cut to her jawline ane worn straight, with tanned skin and green eyes.
Character Bio: Coria is... strange. At times, she's just as much a bubbly and happy a girl as one would expect, and for until about eight years of age, this was true. She grew up with a loving, happy family, though as the dragons waged war and took over the world, they were both taken from her, killed in one of the attacks by the dragons, and Coria shipped off to become a slave, though due to her age she was limited to household chores for the time being. Ever since then, occasionally she experiences flashes of anger, of rage, and hatred, and a simple joy in watching the suffering of others, especially dragons and those who sympathize with them, 'good' or no.

Was promoted at an exceptionally you age as subcommander of one of the first United taskforces, just before the start of the Draconic Insurgency. In fact, he even helped with the designs for the airborne fleet. During the raid on Paris, the majority of the fleet found itself trapped without supplies, and was brought down and destroyed. Robert and his command were foraging at that moment, and when they saw the flames on the horizon, they did not turn back, but set course over the seas. As highest remaining officer, he's the official leader of the First fleet, or what little remains of it. The dragons believe the entire fleet to be lost in The Battle of Paris and in the storm that occured during the chase.

Bio:
The Forgotten Fleet is a heavily militarized society. Most of it's members are soldiers, safe for some farmers and a few officials in exial they picked up along the way. They now reside on a small island, in a heavily regulated though democratic society. Production is focused entirely on keeping the 3 airship's operationall, as well as some basic selfsuffiency.
The airship's are the pinacle of their time. Armored, fast, agile, yet silent thanks to their electrical turbines. An operational cieling higher than any dragon can fly(or so it is believed). 300 meters long, 40 meters wide, yet excellently camouflaged. Helium balloons prevent explosions due dragon fire. Advanced compartamentalization.
Sadly, they are critically underequiped, as well as underarmed. The ship was intended as a Dragon carrier after all.Name: Kaferian

Bio: Alkus was 'raised', so to speak, in the eastern part of Europe, mainly in and around Germany. He was found feral at a you g age in the Black Forest, a seeming hybrid of a European breed and a Celestial, though how this was accomplished is not known. He was raised by a family of animal caretakers that lived on the edge of the forest, and generally had a good life there as a child, being taught to be stealthy in the hunt by the oldest son of the family and other activities, for the most part having an un eventful life. But as he reached adolescence, he succumbed to wanderlust and bid farewell to his adopted family. Traveling through Europe, he managed to amass a tidy sum of gold coins and precious gems. At one point he joined up with a traveling circus. He spent several hundred years travelling like this. After a great many years he returned to the farm of his birth and found those who lived there to be hostile towards him. This caused him a great deal of pain, and was one of the reasons he came to believe that humans were like foolish young children and needed to be guided by their elders. After the revolution, unable to bear the sight of humans (brought up bad memories), he claimed an isolated territory and for the most part stayed in isolation.
Nation: Kymore
Organization: Ruled by council of 10. Heiarchy based - dragonlets run around doing chores and stuff for big dragons until one of them gets chosen by the big dragon. This one is then schooled in how to behave, how to politic, etc, and then set free. Tougher, smarter, more clever dragons advance faster.
Population:
Dragons: 45% European Dragons, 25% Chinese Dragons (Including more traditional Lung), 20% feathered serpents from Sounth America. Remaining 10% mixed. About 250,000 dragons total.
Humans: None really, since adult dragons rely on eager dragonets to do menial work for them instead of humans.
Location: Europe, Ural Mountains. Currently beginning expansion into Russia and Middle East.
Resources: Ore from mountains, livestock, castles, infasturcture from humans, ie highways, cities, etc. They have access to a variety of weapons platforms and a fleet of board from all over Europe (deployed at the coasts of course), and weapons of war, ie mortar guns, cannon, bombs, gas...etc. Player: GreatWyrmGold
Gender: Male
Breath attack: Fire or Weakening Gas
Affiliation: Draconic World Order
Appearance: About the size of a house, with golden scales, four legs, two finlike wings, catfishlike "whiskers", etc. A gold dragon, basically.
Character Bio: The Elder Wyrm is among the oldest dragons alive, with over three millenia under his belt. He remembers when his kind, the metallic dragons, was seen as the wisest of all dragons; he remembers how they were planning to make the transition slowly and painlessly for the humans, rule justly. He remembers how their allies, the chromatic dragons, betrayed them for the glory of their dread goddess, Tiamat. He remembers once having believed in divine beings who made sure justice was done in the end, and the day he looked into the sneering face of a red dragon backed by flights of wyverns and Westerns. He remembers the day he surrendered, losing dignity for the good of his race. He remembers centuries spent plotting against those who remembered and cared his "treachery," as they called it, and securing his hold over an area of land where he moved around the start of the 18th century. He remembers acting as a "sleeper agent" among the humans to give himself an excuse for caring about them. He remembers fighting for his right to rule the humans well. He remembers all this and more. All in all, he is disillusioned with much of dragonkind and hopes that the humans can regain their rights. This is, of course, impeded by those idiotic, violent rebel groups that make it so hard to convince the other dragons that the humans deserve and can be trusted with those rights...His plan is to destroy those violent groups and wait a couple more centuries to convince the other dragons that the humans can be trusted.
Location: North America, Midwest/West area...say, southern Montana, much of Wisconsin and Indiana, a bit of Kentucky, most of Missouri, little bits of Oklahoma, Colorado, and Wyoming, most of South Dakota, as well as all of Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois.
Organization: The highest echelons are composed of feudal dragon nobles, with the duchies divided up roughly along old state borders and counties getting about five or six old counties apiece. Barons are chosen from loyal citizens of any race (mostly humans) in that area, and get a bit under an old county each, divided up by populations more than natural features or old borders. Mayors are elected, as are town and barony councils and a parliament which mainly take care of fairly minor issues. The head of this is, of course, the Elder Wyrm himself.
Population: 83% human, 14% dragon, 2% half-dragon, 1% other
Humans: About thirty million essentially normal humans live in the Golden Realm.
Dragons: Nearly all gold dragons live in The Golden Realm, hence its name. They form 12% of the Realm's dragon population. Many silvers also live here, and form about 13% of the draconic population. Other metallic dragons form 33%, chromatic dragons about 6%, Western 9%, Eastern 16%, 4% African and 8% New World dragons. The total dragons number about one million.
Half-Dragon: Some metallic or other dragons, notably Eastern ones, possess the capacity to transform into human form. With the amount of human/dragon relations encouraged by the Realm's metallic elite, relations of the carnal variety were inevitable. Some of these resulted in half-dragons. These individuals, numbering about 70,000, typically resemble humans with many draconic traits; the lucky ones (~60%) count among these sufficient shapeshifting ability to maintain a human facade. Very few are fertile, but those that do typically find loves among the human nobility, introducing dragon genes to their lines or sterilizing them.
Other: A fair number of ampitheres, not true dragons but just drakes--relatives thereof--reside in the Golden Realm. Also present are wyverns and some other, rarer drakes.
Resources: The natural resources of the American Mid/West; Good morale; Good relations with other nations; Extreme age and wisdom
Almost uniquely among the nations, The Golden Realm cares about how the humans fare, and puts them on the same level as dragons! Also unusually, drakes are allowed full citizenship. The Elder Wyrm theoretically has full power over the Realm, but mostly uses this to keep his dukes under control and lets the Parliament do much of the legislative work. He vetoes enough of their laws to look in control, but when it's not important the Elder Wyrm keeps the dragons out of human affairs.

Bio:
Xaren is an old dragon. A very old dragon. The last of his family, he is also the last dragon who remembers Drakkspreak, the Dragon Speak in the common tongue. He has experienced most of his life cursed, trapped in a human form until he finally accepted his destiny: Fighting to protect the humans, using any means necessary. If that meant slavery, then so be it. Still, he couldn't help but to regret the necessity of this. Still, he was fair. The humans would not be forced to do anything they didn't want. They would just be watched carefully, and if any broke the law, punishment was to be swift and final. He just hoped these revolutionaries would leave him be.

Appearance: Killarn is an Brown Dragon. They are a small breed, and would normally be unlikely to survive, save for two factors. The first, is that they are naturally camouflaged; pigment in their scales, as well as the scales themselves, can be raised or lowered in color and texture, to match almost perfectly, the environment around them.
Character Bio: Kellarn was born in northern Sweden. He was an easy going beast for most of his life, participating in the drug craze of the sixties happily, though few drugs made by humans could affect even a Brown Dragon(though with their resistance to toxins, who knows?), and when his fellows took over, he didn't care too much. He wasn't mean to the tiny squishy creatures, just as he wasn't mean to dogs or cows. Didn't mean they were his equals. Over time, due to his excellence as a spy, chemist, and chef(he likes oleander and nightshade as seasoning), he rose through the ranks. Now a member of parliament, though not a significant one, he favors the current regime, which holds a earn-your-freedom view on humans; if they behave, show loyalty, and work hard, they can not only become free, draconian-class citizens, but vote, become high ranking, and there's a few noble families of humans, now. Some are the former royal families that the more sentimental drakes couldn't bear to reduce to slavery, some are hard-working, fast-talking commoners that managed to get in good after the take-over. The law about how to become free isn't overly harsh, though the fact that there are slaves at all in setting supposedly democratic might make one thing of hypocrisy...which it really is.
Name: United Nation of Northern Europe under Her/His Draconic Majesty
Organization: Semi-Democratic Parliamentary Monarchic Meritocracy (there are nobles who have mostly diplomatic and figurehead power, persuasive certainly, and are often put into place due to their bloodline, but parliament, which makes may real decisions, is decided by their effectiveness in their career. Some stuff is voted on by some people, some isn't, etc.)
Location: British Isles, Ireland, Greenland, parts of northern France, Holland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. Some territory disputes over islands in the pacific, some colonies in the indonesian islands, and it and another country both lay claim to the Iberian peninsula, though the other country(situated along much of the northern African and mediterranean coast, as well as controlling parts of southern France) has a better claim and position to take and/or hold it.
Population
Humans: 50 million
Dragons: 25 thousand, of differing types. Many silver, blue, and green dragons, though red and white are not uncommon. Some emerald and topaz even call it home, and there's a small number of browns, opals, and 'rainbows'. Fukken' rainbows.
Resources
Oil from the Scandinavian countries, coal and the like, lumber in abundance, poor farmland, fierce dragons(where D'ya think Vikings got the idea for their ships?) in most places, quite cunning in others. Decent supplies of metal, but several things must be imported. Tensions run high between them and their southern neighbors.
UnaffiliatedName: 'Ziz' (true name unknown)
Age: Unknown (??)
Homeland: None.
Gender: Male
Breath Power: Wind
Affiliation: No affiliation
Appearance: A large, azure wyvern with large, wide wings. His eyes are yellow. His underbelly is covered in tough, yellow scales, and his talons are yellow. His small horns are golden.
Character Bio: An enigmatic dragon of unknown origin, and of unknown age or living area, 'Ziz', as he later branded himself, had remained dormant for centuries, not interested in pursuing anything that was not sleep or food or the glory of conquering humans, but simply wandering around when he could be roused from his sleep, whether by hunger or simple boredom.
However, one day, he had noticed some humans playing with fireballs, and wondered if the humans had gained...magic of sorts. Curious, he drew himself from his slumber in the cave he had chosen to isolate himself in and watched them. As the humans played on, unaware, he thought that it would be interesting to see how he could help them exploit these new talents.
The great wind wyvern flew from his cave at dusk, and saw many dragons gathering with humans, discussing the downfall of a dragon-led state. He was curious, and flew off to search for information. Slowly, he realized the extent that the humans, such creatures as they were, had been subjugated by dragons. He sought to rectify this, and decided to help fight them off, as a free agent, willing to help any group of revolutionaries who needed him.
To further his cause, he sought scripts of human history, in the hope of understanding them. He scoured the ruins of libraries, fending off the dragon patrols of the Alliance with words or winds if need be, and read the texts of humans with great interest.
He branded himself 'Ziz', the Sky Serpent, after much self-deliberation and research.
Faction: None. Any faction can recruit 'Ziz' as they wish.
