Post your massive fort savegames here!

I hope its alright if I create a topic where people can post the savegames of forts they are very proud of, so us newbies can learn *exactly* what goes on in a great fort.  The picture thread is nice, but you can learn *so much more* when you can actually go in and muck with the fort! So here's the thread... find a place to host it and put your favorite massive (or perhaps just really efficient) fort here!  :)

The bloodline games dont have really good forts in them... not like I've seen... I want something thats someone's baby, ya know?

i would post i really would, but my 'baby' died! the game crashed and i dont know why. its a real shame but i just have to start over now

That's why you keep backups of your save folder  :D.

That's my old fort, which I "too deeped" some time ago (that was taken just before killing the demons, as you can see my champions sitting around on the other side of the magma). The backup save has since been replaced with this piece of crap:

Although efficient, I was going for a different style with this one because I'm bored of doing horizontal forts. I don't like this one very much, though.

Genuine, could you, for the education of all of us, make a fort like the beautiful horizontal one, and make savegames for us at critical junctures on the way... that would be awesome, and would be really useful for us trying to figure out how to play this game really well... I hope its not too much to ask...

I noticed you had a tin and copper industry. tin and copper! eek! use bronze and brass instead... its much better! All the weapons you were making with copper, make with bronze instead! >,<

It's not likely.

That fort was basically my best attempt at creating the best-designed fortress I could make, utilizing all of the tricks I've learned from building a number of previous huge forts. Fact is, I'm pretty burnt out on the game after playing so much since it was released.

If you have any questions about the layout, why things look the way they do, or how I came up with the build order I did, feel free to ask, though.

The best way to learn the game is just to play and build the best you can, then learn from your mistakes.

Remember, losing is fun  ;).

I never use bronze and brass is the root of all evil.
tin and copper make all the bins/ barrels you could need and use iron/ steel for the weapons and armour.
