Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Anyone else interested? Three is ok, but more would be neat.

Mm... I'll have to drop out, I think. I'd have to stop around 10 CST (11 EST) anyway, and that's only about a hour away... not much time to do much in an AI War game, heh. 'Cept maybe a quick defender go, but eh.

Should be open again come somewhere around thursday or friday afternoon, depending on how the week goes. Or... well, the database whatsit on the first page is still relatively accurate, barring something unforeseen.

One day, Aklyon. One day, you too will face the wrath of the monkey trio and their tiny abacus. Prepare yourself! They actually hold up pretty well in smaller games, though. So maybe their wrath will be tiny and soft, like their itsy simian paws.

Frumple, we started in a corner.
The AI decided to make it more literal and dump Mk IV planets on us in our corner. And the Superterminal is one jump from my home planet. It is a sadface of a start. But we haven't lost yet, so theres that.

I'm amazed I wasn't brutalized with having 3/4 systems next to my home world being freaking level 4. I'm also amazed that with just my home world I kicked them out of one of said systems. Though, to be fair, I had a champion.

That was fun. Assuming you don't start it again while I'm asleep or busy, I wouldn't mind continuing.

Things learned from that:
1. The superterminal can popup anywhere in the galaxy, including right next to a human homebase.
2. the new carrier-style enclaves are awesome against small forces and making the higher marks be more useful results in the nifty side effect of having thrice as many caps of turrets to throw around, if you spare the K to unlock the turrets for defense and/or drones.
3. Tarran is awesome and managed to beat the kamikaze colony ship nebula with a shadow frigate.

Btw, it is possible to host a game with 5+ players over hamachi. Just have the host create a second network as well and let the other players join it. Sweet ^^

:D

The newest beta has one awesome thing and two variably interesting things:
The first, is that enclave starships got a buff to their new carrier-like state.
Quote
     Enclave Starships:
Higher-mark drones no longer require turret research.
        Drone spawning counts doubled.
Drone health from 2000*mk => 40k*mk (so about half a fighter, now).
        Drone DPS increased by 50%.
Thanks to Faulty Logic and others for inspiring these changes.
The bold part is because the merc enclave acts as an MkIV enclave, which means that its still an expensive merc unit, but you get 4 tiers of 4 drone types out of it for free.

The first interesting thing is related to the guardians in two parts. the first is here, the second is this:
Quote
Fixed a bug in recent versions that caused most AI guard posts to seed 1 mark higher than the planet they were on.

This does not retroactively apply to games created during those versions, since the bug was in mapgen itself.

The second one is that the AI now unlocks new bonus types at every 100 total AIP instead of every 200 total AIP, and the unlocks are rolled separately for each of the two AI types instead of for the AI team as a whole, so whoever had all the reclamator ships will have even more random ship appear for him now :P

Also, some capturable stuff got a health boost.

Pffffft. Oh the irony, the day I buy turrets for the enclave ships in my single player game there's a patch that changes it, hahahah.

And, heh, a bit late for that guard post bug for our game.

Well, we could always try the same map again and see how many 4s it dump onto us this time, hehe. :)

Helluva' change, too. Was already attriting down mk IV systems with a cap of mk 1 & 2 enclaves at diff 6, 7. Twice the drones, 20x the hp, and 150% damage? yesyesohyespleeaaassseee
