AI War: Fleet Command, Need more AI fodder
« on: April 13, 2013, 06:09:32 pm »

I'm currently trying to host multiplayer campaigns to have more fun with the game. Post your availability here and which expansions you own so we can organize some more campaigns.

We currently have a 8-player campaign going consisting of:
Umiman
Scriptwolf
Frumple
Snelg
Cernunnos
Some guy from steam called Phoenix
Me
Burnt Pies(he joined mid-game as we found out it was possible)

We've been having some hilarious fun with the game despite a lot of us being new as this totally screenshot can attest. http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/558719694866010744/E0BF36FE39B5FE3B7D3EBC01D153AB9667BF7B0B/
We learned that you can rename planets and things kind of escalated quickly. Some of us took to making fine art using explosives(did any of you take screenshots of that?), and we've just been overall having a blast trying to survive the AI as it sends ridiculous numbers of ships at us.

I will be editing this post to keep track of campaigns, and will try to set up some sort of public googledoc spreadsheet you guys can enter your availabilities in so we can easily pick good times for games at a glance.

Edit:
I finally got around to making that spreadsheet. It is editable by anyone accessing it through the link I'll give. The first page is a template to be duplicated if another match is added. The second page is where people can list themselves and their availabilities to get new matches started. Pages after that are for separate matches. You can add notes to cells by right-clicking them, the notes show up at a black triangle in the top-right corner and will pop up when the cell is moused-over. Oh, and for the sake of clearing up time confusion, consider the times on the doc to be GMT +-0, find your local timezone and just add/subtract as needed.

If you're looking for the pages, they're at the bottom.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Am3_FNUSwi7rdFlmUm81OU5fZ3JfWFI5Y0tXeGR4ZkE&usp=sharing

I posted our match in there already, but I didn't know what to call it.

Haha, again, thanks for hostin'.

As for times... weekends/afternoons probably fine, though I'm about to get back into school and won't know the schedule precisely until I've settled back into it. Given a day or two's warning I can probably show up regardless so long as there's not hard schedule conflict (same time as class, ferex.). I operate at GMT -6, to the extent that helps things. Prefer to go to sleep around 10-11 PM, but... I can swing otherwise in a pinch, usually.

Expansion wise, I've got Children, Zenith, and Light of the Spire, but not Ancient Shadows.

Well, ahead of the GoogleDoc being available, my times are generally very flexible, but right now I'm in GMT+1 and for the next few days I'm going to be busy. But after Wednesday, I'll be happy to join in, whenever :)

I have all expansions as of the time of this post.

I should be available most evening/nights unless something comes up, maybe afternoons. But knowing a day or two in advance helps. Also, GMT+2 here.

I have all the expansions.

I'd like to join this someday. I'm hugely inexperienced (barely watched some tutorial vids) but I'm available for the entire day on sunday (GMT+1).

Beyond me, we've had one or two other folks that didn't, so I dunno if it's that big of a deal. Chat does pass pretty quick in the in-game thing, though.

Incidentally, what time zone is the google spreadsheet thing in?
