Yes, the raising hordes of unearthly creatures bit is possible, in time anyway. You may need to eat another brain or two to unlock the knowledge.

Also, a quantitative system for mental and physical power is below.

Current strength: 5 (this outlines your general ability in combat, including both natural and artificial weapons as well as physical strength

Current mind: 3 (-2 from invading dreams) This outlines your reserves of mental concentration and energy and will be used for nearly all magically related tasks. Use it well.

You regenerate 1 mind per 12 hours for now. This can be increased in some ways, but you lack the knowledge and ability at the moment.

Hint - Humans are the key.

Knowledge (Magical abilities will go here)

Psychic senses, passive
Invade dreams, ~500m range, 2 mind, active

Ah, escape the village. You've done enough damage for now and it's probably best to leave some people around for later. After all, they're kind of alarmed now. Better go into the woods and find your shelter. Try to find some way of camouflaging it while you're at it.

No. We need to eat one or two more, and hopefully get knowledge of the surrounding land by doing so, before we flee.

Remain in your current vantage point, waiting and watching for an opportunity to grab vulnerable prey. It may take awhile with them all riled up at the moment, but the undead don't get bored.

Head a distance from town, close enough they'll probably search but far enough that they'll have spread out by then--that way we only have to deal with a few. Wait for them to pass by.

The cave is close enough to the edge of the village that you would notice a search party due to your supernatural senses.

In addition, it is unlikely that they would search a dense forest in the dead of night to look for some kind of vicious monster.

It is now 3 AM.

Also, mind regeneration has been changed to 1 per 12 hours for balance and convenience.

Choosing to continually disrupt the dreams of the villagers a la  Krlnkir Yrlvnt would net zero regeneration.

Inspect the cave, and wait till everything blows over
If an that makes minimal noise draws near slay it and try eating its brain.

Walking back to the cave, you are not surprised to note that the general hubbub in the village is dying down and the mood is turning from fear and confusion to anger due to your killing of less than 1% of the population.

Humans. So quick to emotion and too likely to allow such feelings to cloud their judgement.



While thinking about this, a curious thought crosses your mind, borne by the currents of the realm of swirling, directionless energy from whence you came. A monocle, something that will not be invented for a few hundred years. You do not know why you want a monocle, but you do, and why the hell not? However, you have a distinct lack of everything necessary to make one, and you are no metalsmith or artisan. Perhaps this will have to wait.

In the meantime, you ponder the future and weigh the options of seeing if consuming the brains of another mortal or two boosts your powers even further, and tampering with their minds when they are at their weakest.

However, if this were to happen, you would like them to have something to call you aside from "Nameless Horror from the Woods"

You can't talk, so you can't tell them. Whats the point of a name? Let them come up with a name for you. They will get around to it if you terrorize them long enough.

Explore the surrounding area for fields, pastures, mills, and other places outside the village proper where people are likely to work. Find a hiding spot near such a place, and wait for the work day to begin.
