I'm English all the way.  I have a very old family name, going at least as far back as the Battle of Hastings (we're in the Domesday Book!).  My late grandfather (dad's side) spent the last several years of his life tracing his family tree, and he apparently managed to trace us back to Lady Godiva.  On my mother's side, I'm related by marriage to Anne Boleyn.  My mother has a whole branch of distant cousins who have an extra finger or toe as a direct result of her influence.
