Objective RP reasoning: It could be, or it could be a slow-acting poison that numbs our nerves and slowly but surely asphyxiates us. Behaves like alcohol, which would be counter-productive if consumed.

Meta-gaming: the DM suggested it could just have shared effects, we're dying of thirst & we're playing a game where we're not likely to spontaneously drop dead, (yet).

If we're playing hardcore-mode, don't drink it. If we're using knowledge our character doesn't have, go for it. Woo divergent actions!

((Or I could be misleading you because watching you try to navigate or talk to people while drunk would be hilarious.))

Update... soon. I've had three finals today and have been working off-and-on on a mountain of busy-work, so I might not get to it tonight.

You start to walk after Basin, stop, and gesture for the golem to pick you up. It crosses one arm across its midsection, allowing you to sit upright and lean against it. At your direction it trundles off after your liquid servant. Basin leads you down a long hallway which eventually turns into a t-intersection. Swirling roughly, Basin turns left, and your golem follows sedately. You sway slightly on your perch. He and you pass by an opening on the left, take a right turn, and for the first time in who knows how long you see natural light. Even in the tunnel the yellow-white glow is blinding.

Wait, why would sunlight be this strange color? Everyone knows that the sun is a pinkish-red. As you and your servants emerge from the tunnel complex you're able to confirm that the sun is wrong. You shelf your confusion for the moment; there are more important things to worry about. At least your arm isn't hurting as much as it was.

Over your head is a large, battered entryway of the same grey stone as the interior of wherever this is. You stand in a cozy little hollow, maybe twenty feet wide at the steep cliff where the arch is located, overgrown, and moderately wooded. A few splintered crossbow bolts are scattered about, and you can see splashes of blood on the grass. A thin dirt trail leads from the entrance up along the side of the hollow, eventually cresting the hill to your right.

To your front-left, fifteen feet or so away, is a well. It's old but clearly well-maintained. It looks as if someone has used it fairly recently, within the past day or two, as there is a thick ring of muddy footprints around it, and one of the buckets is lying on the ground. The footprints lead off in the same direction as the trail.

+1 we haven't finished exploring the cave.
Looks like the magician already used the well. I'll bet it's fine.
Try out the sulfur power on a small chunk of the carnizelle meat.
Splint idea: get a couple sticks, remove torn robe & cut it to size- we want to roll the sticks up in a sheet of cloth as we wrap it around our arm- keeping at least one layer of fabric between the sticks and our skin, and then & use 1 or 2 green power to either: transform the cloth which will entrap the splint sticks within it, securing your arm, or grow thick vines around the reinforced cloth wrap. We want it snug, but not cutting off circulation.
Meh, no reason to use green power, it'll just give away we have magic, (though we might have to find a flask to carry basin in). Might as well use strips of the ripped robe to secure the splint.
Thoughts?

Also: thank basin for doing a good job! Who's a good blob?! You are!

Oh, verily, basin has earned a reward, golem too, but golem is going to be recycled, so lets not get too attached...
Speaking of basin and golem, I rather suspect that we are a bit beyond the point at which we can keep our magical properties a secret...

Reabsorb Golem before heading out, carry basin around in a makeshift backpack or flask- use 1 Power to animate the carrying sheet- basin's reward for doing such a good job is a new best friend!  :D

We could try mixing the power with some Power: 0/6 to infuse into something. A living torch might be fun...

You quickly make your way to the well, lowering a bucket with your good hand. After some time its descent slows and halts. You haul it back up, a task that proves to be rather difficult when done with only one arm, and grab the battered wooden handle. There's no ladle nearby, so your only option is to drink straight from the bucket. Looking inside, the water appears clean enough, with only a little mud. You need water more than hygiene, so down the hatch it goes, as you awkwardly tilt the bucket back to drink. The bucket is still mostly full, and you hand it off to the golem.

The next step is trickier: extricating yourself from the tattered robe. It takes a good long while, but you finally manage to take it off. With the robe slung over your shoulder, you search for a suitable candidate for a splint. You find a couple bits of wood of the right length which are mostly straight, and settle down, your bare back pressed against the trunk of a tree. Slowly, painstakingly, you cut long lengths of cloth from the robe with one of the crossbow bolts. It takes close to two hours to get enough for the job. It's at this point that you realize that you can't hold the wood up to your arm while wrapping it, and the golem clearly isn't qualified. Before continuing, you don the cotton clothes, very carefully rolling the left sleeve up to your shoulder, and then the red leather, barring the left bracer, which you tuck into your pack.

Reluctantly, you call to Basin, who has been hopping around near the well, "Basin! Could you be a dear and hold this for me?" Your servant obeys rather strangely, encasing your whole left arm in himself from the shoulder to the wrist, securing the lengths of wood in place. As you begin to wrap the dirty cloth around the splint, Basin shifts small sections of himself out of the way. By the time you've finished and tied off the makeshift bandages with a pronounced wince, your arm feels very warm, tingling slightly.

The armor looks rather distinctive, too, with those symbols branded into it. You slip on the relatively clean robe over everything else, about as satisfied as you could be at the moment.

Ok, go grab a table leg, use some of the dead guys robes and a rock to make a hammer. We need a weapon people, just magic is not enough.

Retrieve altar and flowering vine from dungeon.

Then leave the dungeon and turn left and keep walking.

Heh, figured we could lie on our back and wrap our arm that way.

I vote we go back in, and make sure we aren't missing anything before we abandon our birth place just read the parenthesis. We can, however, use black power to animate the sword pieces into one yes? Additionally, have the metal critter cut out the branding before de-animating it to use as a weapon.
-Another idea: place the sword shards in basin. He gets teeth!

We can use 1 power to animate a section of cloth- make a carrying bag/friend for basin, so the villagers don't scream at his horrifying visage.

The golem crumbles as you withdraw your power from it, heading back inside the underground complex in search of various things. As you pass by the shattered remains of the hostile construct you pluck the flower and tuck it into a pocket, though the roots are too thickly bunched and voluminous for you to extract or carry easily. You consider trying to restore the stone shrine, but it was just a chunk of rock that you animated. You could probably recreate it later. Upon reaching the small, circular room with the corpses, you set about gathering the shards of blade. They range from splinters smaller than the nail of your least finger to shards longer than your hand.

You gently nudge Basin over towards them, smiling expectantly. He seems slightly reluctant but complies, and you act quickly, funneling more power into both him and the sword shards, fusing them together into a single entity. The metal bits cluster up in the center, rotating gently. "Is there anything you wanted while we're still here, little one?"

At this, Basin perks up, swirling over and wrapping himself around your left ankle for several seconds, his surface bubbling merrily. When he moves away, the bare skin he touched feels warm and tingles slightly. You wrack your mind, but you can't think of a way to carry him, considering that he'd soak through cloth, and any here is liable to be ripped up anyways. The buckets outside might do it, but they couldn't carry all of him. Maybe if you had a large metal canister or a waterproofed leather sack, but that would be painfully obvious. Oh, holding that thought, Dear, could you do me a favor and cut this off? you ask, indicating the crest on your leathers, pulling the robe up to expose it, ...and only the marking, got it?

Basin extends a tendril with a few smaller bits of blade upward, slicing away at the emblem without actually cutting all the way through. It works, but the armor is thinner there, and the light patch of color makes it painfully obvious that something has been cut away. You lower your robe and leave the place again.
