You return to the room you bypassed shortly before you found your first toothy friend. It is strangely shaped, like four circles joined at a center point, and the damage has only made it worse, nearly blocking off half of the room. There's little here but rubble, it seems, until you see a bit of green amidst the sea of heavily-shadowed grey and brown. Upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a medium-sized knapsack. How convenient, you think! How thoughtful of these dead strangers to help you accessorize! You take the bag and promptly forget that it exists.
As you double back
yet again, you shift the carnizelle meat from your pockets to the knapsack. Never know when you might need to carry more rocks. You search a pair of heavily damaged rooms, finding nothing useful, and then proceed down a long, unlit corridor. Remembering your previous experience with these, you tread carefully. Something seems amiss, but it doesn't quite click until you are nearly at the next corner. At that point you can't help but notice that most of the light is blue-white and spilling from the doorway you're approaching, rather than the flickering yellow of your candle, or the dim orange of the torches.
This chamber is rectangular, with convex corners and two slender columns along each side. A few empty beds are set against the side walls with more unidentifiable furniture buried under the collapsed far wall. At the center of the room is the apparent source of the light, a small basin set into the floor, mostly filled with a clear liquid. You can barely make out a few small objects at the bottom of the pool.
