Oh, also, I suggest using 3 Power on the wand.
with what goal?

To see if we can further improve our wand, or if things created with a use of Power are immune to further Power, or who knows what.

I don't think we're indebted to him- we summoned him, and in taking the two cakes & 'healing' we expended the power we summoned him with and he returned. No deals or nothin. Hopefully.


I don't think they were wiped out by religious zealots/soldiers. I think they were wiped out by 'the magician'. Our boss. Who went ahead and waltzed up that road we left behind outside the cave.

Might as well call it 'Plot Road', and we trundled off into the wilderness.

((Ohoho, perhaps. Perhaps not. Certainly you would have found something, but there's no capital-P Plot as such, just a world that happens to have a lot of problems. Granted, just about anything you involve yourself in will eventually lead to the same general metaphorical area of action, but that has more to do with the close relationship between the fundamental structure of this world and its conflicts than with anything else.

As for the underground complex, I was basically hinting that there was nothing left in there apart from looted corpses and debris, and that you'd already explored ~95% of it. If you want to spend updates walking around inside finding nothing of interest, I'll write it. I'll usually offer a fairly obvious route or three to action and interaction (or to avoid boring, repetitive writing), but I'm perfectly willing to follow whatever ya'll want instead.

I'll leave off for a bit longer tonight before I update in case there is any more discussion you want to do. Sorry I haven't been very active lately, but work has been hellish.))

Let's do a victory dance. Or at least celebrate leaving that cave mostly intact before we set out on a journey.

I like the idea of animating some party guests from surrounding vegetation and rocks. lol

We probably will find a way to make them bigger later (there is an imp of purplewierdness that comes to mind), and by dead I mean one that we killed/ate/mutilated in some way.

We also need to figure out how we are going to present our character to the public. As a first step: we should NOT use any of our blue power on animating ANY corpses (basin and golems are OK). We can easily pass off basin and our golems as summons/familiars. If necromancy is forbidden in this world(and it probably is) we do not want anyone to label us as "evil" and get ourselves mutilated by the common folk this early in the story (and we probably will, if we were labeled as such). We should also avoid using our black power for similar reasons. (demon-summoning=instant bad-guy designation and death.)Green power is OK for now. if we run into any elves tree-hugging-hippies, it might come in handy! as for our next destination, we should definitely follow the path to civilization(and people). We need to learn more about the world we have been summoned into so we may find more gems and get more powerful as a hero.

All we know exist, for certain, is ritualistic demon-summoning & wherever we came from, (some kind of extraplanar academy?). For all we know, magic, beyond demonic rites, doesn't exist in this world- I'm hesitant to even let Basin accompany us.

I would find it very unlikely if that was the case. remember that we fought a golem in the ruins of the summon area as well as multiple zombies. that suggests that SOMEBODY other than us can create such beings.

Correct, but it also looks identical to our own power. We're (very) likely related.
Also note the lack of enchanted items in the cave, or any signs of magic other than rubble (no giant vines impaling people, no scorch marks or burn victims, no magical barriers yadayada).

not necessarily. the manifestation of powers could be a product the summoning processes. The other prana-user could be from a different plane of existence entirely from our own!
