Clutching the amulet in your good hand, the chain wrapped around the shaft of your wand, you bark an order at the golem, demanding that it stop. As you wave your hand in front of you it hesitates for a moment before winding up for a punch with its damaged arm. You dart out of the way as the stone fist craters the wall you were just standing in front of. The shock shatters its damaged shoulder, and deep cracks run through the construct's chest. As it stumbles backward the growth of the roots intensifies, breaking it cleanly in half. The flower bud folds open, revealing an extremely pale blue blossom.

Breathing heavily and leaning on the wall, your heart jumps for a moment as Basin swirls around the corner, leaving behind a trail of dark, congealed blood. You feel nauseous and fall to your knees, coughing. It feels slightly difficult to breath. The patch of unhealthy color on your right arm has spread, though the bark patch remains more or less the same size, apart from a few bits that have clearly flaked off during the fight.

[] Try to rip the bark off of your arm.
[] Stick your arm in Basin.
[] Burn the bark off with the candletree wand.
[] Go back and search the room that the golem and zombies were in.
[] Continue exploring.

Did we ever determine if Basin's effects are positive, or did we just enjoy feeling him up? Stick arm into Basin.

We may want to make sure basin's sanitary first.

Converse with basin via mind powers, (welcome him back, and then) ask if he can help our sick situation. Also peel off bark, if it's not painful, (painful in the peeling, not painful from the whole 'shattered' bit).
Also keep an eye on the golem, in case it's not dead.
ExamineGlance at blossom, see if it evokes any memories, (perhaps it's a recurring form of our power, it's a moonshot but it might have antivenom).

Animate the vines that broke the golem.

As Basin swirls to a halt, you think at him, Hello? Hey, Basin?, but get no response. So you think harder. Please, I need help. I'm sick. ... Can you even hear me?

Pouting slightly, you speak aloud, "Fine, then. Buddy! Basin! Can you help me with this," you ask, indicating your rather less than healthy arm. Basin gurgles curiously, lifting part of himself up closer to you. With a sigh you settle onto the floor, leaning your wand against the wall. Working gently you begin to work at the bark. The first piece snaps off and a jolt of pain shoots up your arm. Yep, it's definitely broken. Over the course of several minutes you remove it, bit by bit. By the end it's fairly easy going, though you're faint from the pain. Viscous green-yellow pus oozes from the wound. You think the burns look better.

Relieved, you recline against the wall, taking deep, rasping breaths. The flower growing from the former golem is quite beautiful and vaguely resembles a lily in form, but doesn't seem particularly familiar. Still, you stare at it for a long... Basin nuzzles up against your side as if he were worried. With another faint sigh you pat his surface with your left hand. Your palm tingles slightly. Basin feels strangely warm, and you can see that no traces of blood from those reanimated corpses remain within him. The edges of your vision begin to blur.

[] Fall asleep.
[] Stick right arm in Basin.
[] Drink some of Basin.
[] Gather flower petals and
i. Tuck them away.
ii. Crush them and rub them on the wound.
iii. Eat them.
[] Fall aslee...
[] Continue left-handed exploration.
[] fa... sle...

Well...if we don't have plot armor, we have to ask basin to try and amputate our arm. That or animate another golem and have him do it. Otherwise, without plot armor, falling asleep in this state is certain death.

In any case, judging by our breathing/vision, I'd say we only have a few seconds before we leave our life, and the possibility of ever exploring the rest of this dungeon, in the hands of a possibly impartial GM.

Ummm, see if our instincts kick in and get our summoning-amputating actions in-gear? ([] don't die)

too late for that, the corruption has spread internally faster than externally. it's reached our lungs, which we can't afford to amputate. however if the scource of the spread was from the bark (which we peeled off) then our best bet actually IS to sleep and allow our body to naturally heal (a process that works faster if you're asleep and not moving the wound all over the place). basin will protect us while we do this.

If it works like an infection, what we're feeling in our lungs now is nothing compared to what could come in through our arm while we're asleep. We amputate, we might wake up. We don't, we might not.

i'm really really lothe to amputate without confimation that we have good reason to do so. those "might"s you just used matter. you can just as equally reverse them, we dont amputate, we might wake up, we do, we might not.
The problem with amputating is it'll leave a massive open wound, one that will more likely than not kill us from shock and blood loss in our already weakened state and without any form of disease control, bandaging, method to cauterize the wound (you think a single candle is good enough for that?, dont make me laugh) and painkillers (like i said, shock, it matters a lot). i honestly think amputation is more likely to kill us than leaving it as is.

Animate a slab of rock to do the 'cutting'; shearing and or pinching would be correct words as well. Keep in mind how fast our sick's progressed- couldn't be more than 20 minutes, we only applied it when we reached that heavy door. Judging from the looks of our arm, there's probably a hell of a lot more sick in there, and it's hitting our system hard. I'm inclined to think the amputation, (which would prevent bleeding), is a lot better than letting the rest of that 'viscous (oozing) green-yellow pus' into our system- septic shock's *hard to treat.

Also, the way I phrased it is, (if we're gonna die, amputate our arm instead). The GM is playing the role of our instincts here.
