Ireland is really nice for walking. Bogs are nice and desolate in a pretty way, forests are cosy and generally aren't as segregated as the fields. For some reason some people eschew those and go for walks on busy country roads. For fun, not exercise. Never understood that inclination. Surely if you're going for a walk you want to have some scenery, even if you're just bringing the dog along?
