Was that the one where you got shrunk down and the barkeep tried to kill you, so you fought his feet?

It's like the further you progress, the less From tried to design good boss fights.
Ancient Dragon is a tedious mess.

Its kinda silly to complain that a friendly NPC isn't a well designed boss fight IMO.

I'm having flash backs to EQ, where NPC vendors and tavern owners required a full party to kill :P
How much of that party would actually survive the fight?

NPC vendors were effectively raid-level trash, so, often not a lot. Especially in the EQ days. Wizard casts spell. Wizard takes aggro. Wizard dies instantly.

Was that the one where you got shrunk down and the barkeep tried to kill you, so you fought his feet?

Man I dunno, it's been over a decade and there was a shit load of content in that game I never saw, despite playing it for years. But that sounds a little like Everquest.

That might be Adventure Quest, from the days of yore.  There were a lot of silly things you could do in that game (and I remember the barkeeper's feet being nigh-invulnerable).

Aside from that, being rational is not only optional, but is frowned upon.  We hate elves.  We kill for socks.  We sacrifice nobles.  We love kobolds.

Could a friendly Bay12er put down a sign in front of Demon of Song? Big frog thing keeps killing me. NG+ level 224 memory 8 million.
Never mind. Got the big froggy bitch.

Just discovered a pretty amusing thing to do when invading someone - if you have enough Seed of a Tree of Giants, be very friendly to the person you're invading and try to give them one. Put on the White Ring and get them to use the seed. You're now a forced white phantom that can help them through the level. It's pretty funny when it works, and even cooler if they're in the Way of Blue (if a Blue Sentinel arrives, they usually won't attack you and the Seed of a Tree of Giants affects them too.)

The only problem of course is that people tend to be too stubborn to go along with it. I'd say 9/10 times they attack you on sight. Take Warmth pyromancy or the Ring of the Evil Eye to heal you, too.

Finally moved on to NG+ (keeping a savescum in case I missed anything in NG though) and suddenly invaders everywhere. Apparently there's a really cheap build that's caught on, every other person is rocking full Havel and dual-wielding some kind of crossbow SMG.

I was wondering when Dark Souls would get an ice level.

Whilst watching that trailer I could almost taste all the bridges and walkways I'm going to fall off.

With enough work and polish, it could have been a forgettable flash game on Kongregate.

So this random idea popped into my head while thinking about how this game missed a golden opportunity to have a giant sea monster battle.

Go through fog gate
Emerge into large docks area with half a dozen identical ships
Only one has gangplank
Approach it
It's actually a gigantic mimic, but isn't able to immediately grab you
Boss fight begins

Could someone put a summon sign down at the first bonfire in the Dragon Shrine? I hate giant hammer guys. I'm soul level 1910309.
