You nod as Cain finishes and say something to him about getting the five of the crew ready to go with you on a job here in the near future, the man lets out a grin and runs off to carry your order to the other crew. Walking up to the man the Overseer left behind you rail off a list of what you want to buy, sending Granite off to pick up the cash needed from the ship's cache. When he finally returns you hand the man the small bag of credits, he takes a second to search through the bag to ensure what you gave him is real before nodding his thanks and leaving to board the station. Sighing slightly as he leaves you go over to one of the walls where a seat was built into a small alcove and sit down, lying back you decide to wait as you team is gathered.
After what seems like an hour you and your selected crew, consisting of Granite, Lilian, and three of the crew-members stand out in the main docks of the station. The docks themselves are a massive cavern carved within the asteroid that the station makes its home upon, all throughout the cavern stone and iron walkways and runways are filled with people floating in zero g or ships tethered to various harnesses and cables that keep them in place and stocked. Of course the only ships in the docks are smaller shuttles, fighters, and such but the sight is still extremely impressive with the multitude of box like shuttles for freighter to freighter movement, or compact triangular defensive fighters arrayed across the upper runways.
More importantly arrayed in front of your group is a trio of people from the station, one a tall, lean, soot covered man with short red hair and a full ginger beard that reminds you somewhat of the man from some commercials recruiting miners you saw back in your youth. Next to him are two guys with the builds of brick walls, two hulking masses wearing jet black suits with metal plates sewn all throughout them and two hoses running into the tinted out view shields of their helmets. The most impressive thing about the two men though are the twin long handled axes they carry boasting wicked curved axe-heads and scything blades on opposing sides with sleek freshly maintained looking assault rifles in their hands.
Altogether the trio gives you an unsettling feeling if only because of the look of the seemingly twin giants that appear to be the soot covered man's bodyguards. The soot covered man grins and begins to talk,
"Hello, the names Cyphus and I'm the engineer that is gonna go with you to help get them freighters back up and running, these two fellows behind me are the Grim Brothers Hamond (the one on the left), and Marcus (the one on the right) who will act as bodyguards in case we need em. As for the stuff you ordered, them hull-cutters are being delivered to your ship now while the rest of the stuff you got is loaded onto the shuttle as we'll be needed it for the coming job. Now how 'bout we get this show on the road?"
With that the man turns and walks down the closest runway towards an old looking supply shuttle which you all proceed to board. The inside is alot more spacious then you thought, or it would be if your exo-suit wasn't taking up half the small cargo and passenger bay of the ship. As soon as Lilian spots it (and find out that it is indeed yours) you see her clamber into it and begin fiddling about with the onboard computers, likely tuning it to fit more to her liking. As the rest of you take up the seats along the shuttle, its engines rumbling to life and the loud hisses of docking clamps the only sign you're departing, Cyphus walks up to an old display screen and thumbs the power button.
With a slight buzz the screen flickers on revealing a map of the freighter, and the man begins to talk pointing at the one airlock on the ship,
"This is the only airlock onboard the ship and according to our last views of the ship there is a large chunk of rock embedded right where your entrance would normally be so you'll need to go in by cutting a hole directly into one of the maintenance or abandoned hallways not shown on this map. Its either that or you break your way in through the blast doors as those are the only options that aren't gonna end up making the rest of the ship entirely inhospitable.
Also we've had reports of something like scavengers or pirates in this section of the asteroid field, so we're not entirely sure if anything is actually on the ship or not. We have sometime before we reach the actual freighter so come up with a plan of how you want to do this when we get there, for the most part me and those two are only here to fix the ships engines and get it back to the station so don't count on us for to much."
Note: The abandoned hallways, and maintenance tunnels are not shown on map, the map simply shows the most important parts of the ship.
