Oh thank god! I found a batch image manipulator for GIMP. Now I don't have to resize images one-by-one!
(I tried XnView, but for some reason every re-sizer save GIMP's causes quality loss.)
The updates will come a lot quicker now.

Command: "All right, people, that's a wrap. No more alien biosigns. Get back to the extraction point, Ragnarok brewed a lot of tea after his SWS blew up and it's getting cold."





Commander's Note: Blomberg got a promotion to lieutenant after that last mission, but for some reason Lord Ragnarok keeps calling him a leftenant. Gets on my nerves.

SALVAGE CHIEF'S LOG



Finally, that house-to-house hell is over. I have determined that, in future situations such as that one, X-COM teams will carry even more explosives.



Since the Coelacanth was destroyed during the mission, I put in an order for a new one, with ammo. Until it shows up, Lord Ragnarok says he'll "practice his sword drill". I just hope he doesn't do it in the mess hall.



With the gauss rifles under production, I created a new work order for the engineers to be reassigned to after they finished the rifles. I really need to hire new engineers.





Oh Jesus. Those...things...were humans? How in the blackest pits of hell did they manage that? No matter. We'll put them out of their misery and exterminate the bastards who did this to them.





Thanks to the dissection of the Deep One, we can research Aqua Plastics. This should help us reinforce our armor.





The Coelacanth and its ammo arrived today. Hopefully we can keep this one in one piece.





The lab boys managed to figure out how one of the alien weapons works! How they did it without firing it I am uncertain, because, once again, they need to devote more research into how to load the damn thing.



I promptly assigned researchers to that task.



Sonar has a contact, just off of Cuba. Launching pursuit submarine.









Contact downed off the northern coast of Scotland. I'll send the squad in the morning.







Squad dispatched. I just hope this recovery mission goes smoothly. At least they have heavy weapons. And, for Max, Reggie, and Xantalos, that's certainly enough.
