Ask if you (The hitchhiker main character, that is) look like a twelve year old.

He rolls his eyes and puts the cigarettes on the counter. "Yeah, yeah, but it's the law ya know?" You give him $8 for the drink and cigarettes and head back to the truck. Peter is done filling up, and starts driving again.

Charactor roster added to first post. What do you do?

Ask if he wants a smoke.

"Nah, I quit a couple months back"

[Elfeater]

Smile, light a smoke. "Lucky bastard. I tried a few times. Never worked out."

[Scelly9]

He nods. Half an hour later it's starting to get dark out. "Hour and a half" He says, breaking the dull roar of the wind against the car. You nod.

The sky is a brilliant red, clouds streaking across in lines of yellow. By the time it fades, you've gone through two cigarettes. Lights of cars going past illuminate the car every few seconds, and a dull boredom sets in. Mile markers flash past.

Try and get a semi nap, not sleeping, just resting. Don't completely trust this character yet.

You close your eyes. Just for a second, you tell your self. That second stretches into minutes, and soon you are fast asleep. You are woken by Peter poking you in the shoulder. "Fifteen until Jeff" He says "Where do want me to drop you?"

"Uh... You know any cheap hotels?"

[Scelly9]

"Depends on how cheap you want. There's a few nice $70 a night ones, as well as the $50. If you don't mind sharing a room, one of the Hostels is more like $15"
