Name: Joe Bridger
Age: 86
Gender: Male
Specialty: Shadow-Ops
Bios: Joe Bridger when he was younger enlisted in the army. He spent a full career of service there as a rifleman, becoming a Captain in the military. After this, he retired from the military and lived off of his pension. Later in life, as the Corporations became more powerful, he made ends meet by serving as a vigilante, taking out contracts for the shadowy megacorporations. He may be old, but he hasn't lost his skill as a sniper and guerrila specialist. Recently, he was approached by his contact from Future Tech with an offer. He agreed to become an official member in exchange for an exclusivity bonus to his pay, and here he is.
Implants: Tactical Overlay: An advanced eye implant that displays information and links up to Joe's weapons array, improving his aim and providing him with tactical information and overlays (Thermal Vision, etc.). Like a set of military headgear. Stealth Armor: A lightweight armor sewn into the skin that provides increased protection against piercing or slashing weapons, while also providing toggleable reactive camoflague to improve stealth.
Defects: Elderly: Joe may have not lost his touch, but he's nowhere near as strong as he used to be. Enemies: Having been working in this line for this long, Joe has made some enemies in the Corporations, and a shadowy group called the Hand of Silence wants him dead.

Joe Bridger is my default character database, and I keep a stock of personas ready for deployment on forum games. I have an impersonation ready, don't worry.

On a side note, how much roleplaying do you want, on a scale of Roll to Dodge MC Hammer to Godhood?

Name: Edan Johnson
Age: 18

Defects: Unajusted: He is still having trouble getting use to his bionic arm and as a result has lowered motor skills. Defiant:  He does only what he wants, and not what anyone else does.

RP is limited to mission, travel, and debrief mode, usually a couple days worth, the rest you shall be sleep in stasis. RP well be bound to military chatter among others and some outside interaction while off duty.

Spoiler: close quarters (click to show/hide)

.... In short, ETHIL SMASH!!!!!!
This build might be a issue though, with a sluggish CQ theres going to be alot of issues with reaction time in tight situations. Normally this would mean the Shadow Op can assist to compensate the CQ but being a old man it will be a hard time in these situations. CQ guys are usually busting down a door and moving in fast killing everything near before a shot is fired, they can't last that long in heat though and will be pulverized with heavy fire, assuming some personality changes this build would be better as a Assault.

impaired arm and vision? i could see that working as two, pretty much you will suck for anything with a accuracy roll so best to keep stuff very near you and hope your arm doesn't twitch.

Hmm good point, better remove sluggish and change it, metal joints don't have to be slow it was just my first idea.

Though I still think a slow moving metal brick flying at 300 mph from thrusters is awesome :).

Two things:  One if i'm fighting and am more than a bit of random damage something is wrong. Two I'm a hacker I'll be hacking and sneaking I don't think I need accuracy for that.

Edit:  Your right now that I think about it I'll change somethings.

How does strength work with respect to different weapons? I plan to get my guy a combat knife. Would that be more based on dexterity and less on strength as opposed to something like a sword?

For the Shadow Op Dexterity is key, your strikes and your aim needs to be accurate enough for one hit disable/kill shots. Strength only matters by weight of your equipment. In honesty i wasn't going to worry much about stats as you are all pretty much badass and based all ofyour physique on your specialty, they only thing ave to worry about is your mastery in skills. I can give you a semi-auto rifle and you can start putting bullseyes in targets, give you a automatic rifle you will have a hard time controlling the bursts since you are used to a short time recoil.

well no i think the build will be fine, the accuracy roll meant when you are shooting or throwing something, you would spend alot of time in the background but you definitely can still cause havoc non of the less/

Alright. It looks like I interpreted the system correctly  :). I plan to take either a single-shot or semi-auto scoped rifle, depending on the difference in stats, a magnum as a sidearm, and a combat knife.
