 :)

Although I feel like I was pretty much just riding off Ford's amazingness. Great job. If only...

...wow...I hate to say it, but I guess I really overestimated my competition. I guess the deception wasn't necessary in the first place.
This hurts me.

But I blame forum formatting for it :P

Still...that was amazing. Nerjin was a true buddybro, and Ford and TWS were both scheming plotters. That was beautiful. The Fire-Air chat? Amazing ploy.

Sad to see Gankster go :/

I am laughing so hard. :D Your reaction is priceless, Tiruin.

Thanks for a good game, Nerjin & Tiruin. It was pretty nutty.

Yeah, it was fun. Although I really wish Gankster had stuck around. The plan could have gone so much better had we killed Tiruin first.

I thought we were friends... I don't know why. You just seemed trustworthy.

Web was right, actually. The only way for someone to win this was for someone to make a mistake. It's like six men's morris -- as long as nobody makes a mistake, the game will always stalemate.

You could say the same about a lot of games, like chess or go. The interest is when people make mistakes and mistakes are the rule not the exception. Join in next time, RC.

The problem isn't that the game is based on mistakes. To start with, it is entirely based on mistakes.

However, the real problem is that the first few games will all be based on making a mistake. After a while, it will be obvious which element to lynch first, which makes it an instant lose. After that, you start getting very similar games.

I think making the abilities random would help the game. That allows for more gameplay and counterplay.

Yeah, random abilities is not a bad suggestion.

A thought: Every player could be told one of their allies and one of their enemies.  So every chat has one player who knows what the relationship is and one who is clueless.

Umm...except if you knew one of them you'd know the other...

I also included something similar in my proposal up above. Every player (except fire) is guaranteed to be linked to one ally, but they don't know which one (and it's possible both are).

Yeah, I'd be interested in playing an Elements variant again.  Basically what it has over standard Mafia is the alliance making/breaking, which is pretty fun.
