I appreciate your negativity. Someone has to have a lower viewpoint.

Why Make a topic?
Psychologists have recognized that publically announcing you are doing something is more likely to have actual results then making private resolutions. In making this topic I am more beholden to keep it.

Actually the opposite is true. Proclaiming to everyone you're going to do something gives you satisfaction, making you less likely to actually do the thing in order to get satisfaction, since you're already satisfied in that regard. It's self-sabotage.

Is this the part where we all follow Neonivek around the forums trolling?

Is sarcasm still permitted?

No you cannot be Sardonic.
I appreciate your negativity. Someone has to have a lower viewpoint.

Ohh I agree and I hate hype with a passion. If I buy another game because people didn't take a second to think critically about what they had I'll snap. Sometimes I am the only one who even will say anything negative about something (that will later be discovered to be true sometimes) so it is often what prevents a topic to devolving to kissy face pandering.

The issue is that sometimes I go a bit too far.

I'll totally sign up for less negativity.

Week or month?

Sarcasm and sardonicism are two completely separate concepts.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

What about fececiousness, which is yet a third separate concept?

Eh, month why not. I think I can restrain my intense desire to snark for that long.

Facetiousness?

That's A-OK, in addition to being one of the most awesome words ever.

Not to be negative, but based on what I have read in the past, psychologists hold the opposite opinion on public announcements.

I totally read this as ferociousness the first time. And given the topic, I pictured someone being ferociously positive throughout the entirety of May.

Looks like we'll have to pester Neonivek then, if the announcement doesn't itself work.
