I think that themes like decade, year, genre, whatever would work better than full albums.

On the other hand, having dedicated DJ slots where one person is given the floor to play a full playlist (45-60 minutes sounds right to me) would be OK with me. Part of the fun of DJing is putting together a full set. It's slightly harder using youtube videos given you can't use fades, skip intros, use personal mixes or versions of tracks, etc, but it could still be entertaining.

My only worry would be no-one else bothering to turn up if they weren't playing.

Heh, you could upload your personal mixes on soundcloud or even youtube if you had to, but it would be too much effort. D:

I actually like the collaborative thing, especially if everyone is trying to stick to the current theme/genre/style, and seeing it slowly morph into different directions.

So, this is pretty awesome. That's all I really have to say for now, this is a thinly disguised post to follow the thread.

Also, I need to go visit some insanely popular rooms to get that ninja!

So it seems that Japanese nu-metal/hardcore is a good way to start clearing a room.

Good to know.

Connection is terrible most of the time. It's hard to have fun when you only get to hear 30 seconds of a four-minute song D:

It is. Just not sure if it's my ISP or network, but I'm 95% sure it's on my end and not the website's.

Animation night ended about six hours ago, given nobody posted about it I'm willing to admit defeat. No more animation night! :P
