Take a gun, preferably a pistol.

Take a reasonably light gun.

The guns have triggers and appear to be a mix of energy or projectile weapons, some of the lighter stuff, looks usable.

At this point, you can either get more backstory, on the red masked man, or get a very helpful hint for dealing with the Hostile Universe in the future. Your choice, though you need to figure out how to do these two things.
