Well even with the massive bonuses I gave myself, you still got through, don't worry the low threat level modifier that gives me less dice, and less bonuses will be destroyed by this.

General combat: humans pull a minor success series, low flying UFOs are easily taken out by fighter jets, but towards the end of the month higher altitude UFOs begin appearing, so you will need a new method to intercept them. On the ground the surviving aliens ill equipped for combat are easily taken out. Morale grows. (+5 combat modifier, depending on how you use it, bonuses to world actions)

Well in terms of research you were screwed, you learned that the aliens use the same carbon based molecules as us, similar body plans, and for there armor, just that you know its powered made out of alloys that only towards the end of the month you managed to really start really learning about.
