((Oh well, here I go! Hope it ends better.))
After calming down from all the recent events, you decide to bring Yern back home. You remember him mentioning his mother's inn, so it would be best to bring him there.
Nectarius stoops down and drinks some of Yern's blood and takes the axe, while Clair takes as much armor as she can without humiliating his dead body. Nectarius suggests to Erin to retrieve some goodies from Vorl's body. ((I don't know whether to make her go back, since she didn't reply yes or no, and that you suggested that I don't do things for the characters without them actually doing it. The place where Vorl landed is close by, so you can go back if you want.)) Zerol and Clair then take out their waterskins and drink the blood inside.
Erin takes the parts pouch and axe and picks up the body, with help from Kira. Together, they all walk down the rough, bumpy path to the village ahead. The village is blaring with loud, festive music, and filled with smells of roasted meat which reminds you all of your hunger for real food. In the middle of the group of tents is a large campfire, and smokes pours out of the center.
When you finally reach the village, the people look at you and the dead body. They pause to look at the body, but when they see that it isn't anyone they care about, they turn their heads and dance away the night. You look around for an inn, but see none, until you spot a large building with a sign that says "Inn" and shows a picture of a severed arm and a mug. When you enter the building, you see a few tables that constantly creak. The place smells awful, but the smell of cooked food on the tables overturns it. There are a few people sitting at the bar, drinking and talking.
You bring Yern to the bar and call for the owner. You hear the panging of silverware in the kitchen, and an argument of two women in the kitchen. Eventually, a young blonde woman appears. She wears simple clothing, and bears no obvious deformities, other than an extra finger on her right hand. She walks over to you, and gasps as she sees the dead corpse.
"Yern, Yern, is... is that you? Yern! What happened? What happened to him? What happened to my younger brother? And where's Quar? And... who are you?" she asks you, with tears in her eyes.
You tell her about where you where, how you escaped and killed Vorl, and how Quar attacked Yern. She calls her mother to the bar, with all the barflies looking strangely at you and the corpse, but otherwise uncaring. When the mother arrives, you also explain about everything that had transpired, including what Yern mentioned about a Crusade.
"This, this is terrible!" she says, with tears in her eyes. "I can't believe Quar would do that... but the Crusade you say... I'm pretty sure you don't know what a Crusade is, we don't tell our children about that anymore. Find my husband, the chieftain, G'hzul. He'll answer your questions, and he may need your help, seeing your skills in killing a Gamma and freeing yourselves. Before you go, would you like some food? I can't give away free food, since I need to pay for Yern's funeral now, but it's filling and cheap! He he..." she says, trying to laugh but she breaks down into tears again.
You are now in an Inn. You can buy meals (2 fingers), which regain 5 HP, EP, and Hunger. You ask the barflies for directions in the village. The village has a marketplace that sells fruits and dried meats, an armory which makes leather armor and weapons, a small farm nearby, and G'hzul's war hut near the center of the village. You can also retrieve Vorl's stuff, which is nearby.
((To GwG, I'll add Inter in when they meet G'hzul. And Xanmyral's character, if he want's to, since I think I can handle one more, and we're already at this village. Oh, and is this better than last time? Sorry if I sound annoying or persistent, but, you know. ))
The parts pouch consists of:
- 20 fingers (Equivalent of 1 dollar each)
- 2 hands (Equivalent of 5 dollars each)
- 2 feet (Equivalent of 5 dollars each)
- 1 heart (Equivalent of 20 dollars)
Exchange rate: 5 fingers=1 hand. 4 hands=1 heart etc, etc.)
