Waiting on my co-op partner to get their crap together & sit down in front of a screen before I start. Playing the first one in the meanwhile.

It's fun.
Liking the personality mechanic, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to make out of the arguing mechanic. Seems like that would be a lot more interesing in co-op.
Going dual Mage to cover all the schools is probably great for endgame, but terribly inconvenient early, so I'll pick something different.

I hope I get used to the "kickstartery" feel of the game though.

Can you elaborate on that?

Something about the artstyle and the way the whole interface looks.
Hard to put it into words, but you might understand it if you compare it to their earlier games.
I think the different production values might have to do something with that.

Do you mean that it's inconsistent or just of generally a lower quality?
I'm intrigued but I'll be downloading it on the 30th anyway as I loved 1/2.

Well the game features a comic look. During character creation I was heavily reminded of World of Warcraft.
Came as a bit of a shock, considering I'm used to a bit more realistic artstyle of Divine Divinity and Divinity 2.

I like it.

Seems like it still sports a bit of a difficulty curve at the beginning, (kinda), but after we tooled around with our characters via cheat engine it's pretty enjoyable.

Lots of physicsy-stuff- explosive gas blocking your way? Who needs magic, just grab the nearest candle and chuck it in for fireworks!
Traps can be nefarious, with an obvious pressure plate in front & a crate blocking the easy path around- but move the crate and you open a poison vent! The tricksy-doodles are real.
You've got bonuses for different personality choices & co-op interactive convos are fun in their own way, gotta think about your character.
Stealing is super op- if you can get your partner to help you, distracting someone while you loot the crap out of the room is very viable.
Lockpicks are stupidly difficult to come by, better to have a fireball spell & burn things open than to invest in lockpicking. Another area where cheatengine helps.
Game features a lot of humor & secrets- to even pick up on some secret treasure & mechanisms you have to pass a perception check, looks like.
Character creation is fun & allows for a bit of variety.
The two players aren't tethered, but there's a gentle pressure to stick together so as to participate in group-convos.

I expect I'll be playing this for a while, specially since I have two co-op partners to run with.

Any changes from the Early Access version other than much more content?

I wasn't in the early access so I have no idea what to compare this to, but I am thoroughly enjoying the depth of this story. It's been awhile since I've let myself slow down enough to really be taken in by a world, but so far it's been wonderful. A bit slow going as I stumble around town and understand the story and what I'm supposed to be doing.

Played about 8 hours of this.

I think it's surprisingly fun. I like the dual protagonist thing where you can basically roleplay two different people at once (which can lead to pretty hilarious conversations where you basically argue like married couples about everything.) I like how they didn't force themselves to voice everything (though there's plenty of good voicework regardless) so there's tonnes and tonnes of dialogue. I like some of the perks like being able to talk to animals, which isn't even a gimmick. Did I mention how I like how my two main characters act like a married couple? It's such a fantastic gimmick, having two customizable main characters.

I'm very amused by the quests so far. They're pretty engaging, and you're not led by the nose. Rather you need to investigate stuff yourself and get lost constantly. I was extremely entertained by the guy trying to hire your group into a pyramid scheme. I made one of my guys want to join it just to see what happens and made the other tell him he'd kill him if he did. Was awesome.

Combat is pretty good. Pacing is a little slow, but there's quite a lot of depth to the tactical options. Not to mention you can actually build whatever kind of party you want with hire-able henchmen alongside regular companions. Combat is also quite tough, but it's fair. You can also use your combat skills outside of combat, which is another thing I really love. There's a mysterious chest hiding behind a locked door and you don't have a lockpick? Use teleport to move the chest to you. It's fantastic stuff.

My only worry right now is whether or not this is going to be one of those cliffhanger games. It's a Kickstarter game and the plot is so ridiculously grandiose. There's no way you can complete this is a regular game's sitting. I hope it actually completes the story.

The last thing I dislike about the game is the inventory and crafting systems. They're really, really slow. Your party needs some kind of centralized inventory screen and there really needs to be a more efficient way to sort things.

Nah, it's a optionally two-player game. Anyone care to enlighten us as to whether it's splitscreen? Sounds like you could manage two people on the same computer, though they wouldn't be able to move independently right?

Yep, the gameplay is slow, but the sandbox is so awesome. I'm having so much fun. :D

@UristMcDwarf
There's a 'Lonewolf' perk, but I don't know if it means that you can play with only one char instead of the two you have to create at the beginning of the game.
