To be honest, I've always wanted to try haggis.

And everyone thinks I'm insane because of that.

You can't really compare haggis to anything. It's more like something you compare things to.

It is very nice fried with a side of laver bread. Celtic fusion food is go!

Fantastic idea. I will try that next time I can get my hands on it - I'll mix it in with my cooked breakfast, you know, have a slice of black pudding, a slice of haggis, fruit pudding, some laver bread....

Buffalo - Better than normal hamburgers, more flavorful and much more healthy
Eel - Only had it on sushi, but I like it more than fish
Ostrich - Sort of a cross between beef and chicken, good as a burger
Octopus - An acquired taste, a bit rubbery
Squid - Excellent if prepared properly

I have had the experience of driving past a mortuary early in the afternoon and noticing the incredibly strong scent of bacon everywhere within a hundred yards of the place.

Jellyfish -- DID NOT LIKE. Could feel a somewhat unpleasant numbing sensation in my mouth as the occasional intact nematocyst triggered and stung me. Not a lot of flavor, texture was like unpleasantly raw calamari.

O_o   but... isn't it suppose to be made from the head of the jellyfish, not the tentacles?

I personally love jellyfish anyways. Feel kinda ambivalent towards frog. I think I may have had buffalo or alligator at one point, but I don't remember it very well. I absolutely love eel and squid.

Shark and Skate(wings): Taste about the same, as in very little.
Whale: Excellent. Almost like beef. Can be a bit rough and dry if overcooked.
Seal: Excellent. Similar to whale. Works great as burgers.
Crunchy, fried thing I got in Beijing: No idea what it was, but tasted great.
Sea urchin: Cannot recommend.

these are non-standard meats in the rest of the world? also, the octopus must be frozen for a few days and then unfrozen to soften it, then it's delicious.

I honestly don't understand why people think that they won't like haggis. It's just ground lamb sausage with large amounts of pepper. Sure, the casing (lamb stomach) is kinda odd-looking, but people eat intestine-cased sausage all the time, so why should the stomach be any worse?

We only eat out of a lamb stomach when we want to disturb foreigners and sassenachs. Normal people buy it in a plastic wrapper and spoon it onto a plate.

Well, my family, having lived in Arbroath for two years before returning to Canada, has picked up the tradition of celebrating Burns' night, and we eat our Burns' night haggis out of a stomach.

That's pretty crazy. I've never actually seen a haggis like that and I've lived in Scotland all of my life, including in Perthshire which is the county adjacent to Angus (where Arbroath is).
