"break their power" sounds like it corresponds to the candles pretty directly. It seems to be our only way of interacting with the game, at least so far.

...I'm tempted to try touching one of the candles through flavor, just to see what happens...

Lets just hope this doesn't do something that could ruin the puzzle entirely... though i don't see that happening.

Also, just for a couple experiments of my own: Ranger attempts to walk onto Ford's Disk  AND watches solifuge's hands and mouth as Ford walks over to the HP.
Let's see how this goes.
