Did anybody else read this as the beast describing his past life in a posh voice? "One was associated with water, murder and caverns. More tea?"

Forgotten doesn't mean unheard of, really. Like if someone from your primary school said "hi, I'm such and such from your P1 class" and you remember them, despite having forgotten about them. Plus, written records.

It's been too long since I've tried to draw anything in paint... It was a challenge with a mouse that usually registers one click as three and won't drag for longer than about a second!

I'd ask how something as ball-shaped as a raccoon can have a curling trunk, but I assume it has a hunchback.

Pretty damn impressive for mouse-work. And I think it's more the nose type trunk rather than the torso kind.
