I'll also rule that it costs 0 PC to pull troops back from a foreign theatre to the homeland.  Thus an attack on someone's heartlands can be an effective way to force them to withdraw from their planned aggression, even if they don't have the PC to move them anywhere else.

i highly doubt that. Since i need no Pc to retreat my units back home. Your gonna gain nothing from that attack. I don't know what you got promised but i certainly can make sure that you wont get anything out of it. And Urist send mercenaries. I think you and i know by now how well that worked the last three times.

nope Urist you got your maths wrong. I gain 8 Pc on top. If i don't loot i still get 5,5 PC.

But guess who has 5.9 unrest? You. So if you retreat your regiment, you get no PC next turn. So what's it going to be? Lose a measely 1 infrastructure, or get to do absolutely nothing next turn?

again you got your maths wrong Urist. If i retreat a Unit into my homeland my unrest gets lower not higher.

But that unit dies. And if you retreat ALL your regiments, then you get only 1 PC next turn. Not even 1. You get 0.6 PC. Take back one, you get no PC. Don't take back any, you get 8.

so what i dont care enough for those two. I rather stand without pc next turn that give Emral anything out of this. I will make this hurt and hurt it so badly that he thinks twice before doing it again. Besides, why should i give him anything what hes doing right now is just disgusting. Dogpiling on the first round of the worst kind. Are you so fixed on mere play to win?

Hurt him so bad? He loses two might and FOR SURE gets MORE infrastructure next turn. Play to win? This game has a victory condition! And he still has his allies to bring in troops!  So even if you did, it wouldn't matter.

I want you to take it on the chin, and help RP a beautiful defeat. What scene is more underappreciated in Hamlet than the end, when after all the scheming, Fortinbras comes in and claims the throne with force?

Ghaz, I must say it's mostly your fault. You jumped in without getting enough support, of course people are going to dogpile on you.

Thing is, even if I lose those two Might without gaining anything, I still win as I don't have to pay their upkeep and I still beat my quest. No matter what I win and don't lose in this situation.

This is the first round of the game.
All of you are piling on me for no obvious reasons despite: hach i need to win the Game ASAP. Urist don't you fucking dare to tell me about RP in this. THIS has nothing to do with RP and you know it don't hide behind such an outrageous lie. At least be honest with this. You and Emral and Sheb all went in on this out of sheer greed to get an early advantage over everybody else.

You are consciously killing me on the first round to win the game. Nothing else.

You want to dicks about it have it back double. I lose nothing by this. you however have wasted all your efforts for nothing.

Now now, don't be Sultan Muhammad II. Be Constantine XI Palaiologos.

I'm saying, you lost, we're all trying to win. Though yes, I had an RP reason; you're a heathen viking invader. Now let's make an RP scene, where you lose, but you have an epic last stand or something like that.

Ghaz, we're dogpiling in because we think we can win from this. Also because we already lost a bunch of Might, and we want stuff to show up for it. Why would we turn now and accept the statu quo?

I offered you a deal early on, you flat out turned me down. And you laughed at me when I told you we were a threat. This is a game where you need allies. You went straight ahead without looking for allies.

This was a situation where not getting involved is a bad outcome for me.
Here's the way I thought of it:
Action 1: I don't get involved.
Outcome 1: I lose a ton of cash due to upkeep and have to attack someone RIGHT THEN or else, possibly getting screwed over by event.
Action 2: I attack with the 2 guys right then and lose them.
Outcome 2: I lose less cash next turn and there's someone who isn't defended next door.
Action 3: I attack with the 2 guys and I get through.
Outcome 3: I gain enough money to last the next turn.

With those actions and outcomes, what reason would I have NOT to attack?
This isn't even mentioning the diplomatic effects that it had.

Emral, did you not see my action? I guaranteed Finster. Our alliance is a defensive one, but I pledged my support to Jarl too. You will face 2 Primerian Might if you push onward with this order and it will mean we will have a clash.
I agreed to a deal and we can direct that might somewhere else.

Actually Ardas, you still have to defeat Urist's two extra Mercenaries too.
