Ok Deon, I do have some knowledge of the LotR stuff and have a large selection of Middle-Earth Role-playing gear I can check for you if you need extra help fleshing out the background and such.

These are the canon/non-canon (don't know which; the witch king and Khamul are def. canon) names of the Nazgul. I could try and dechiper the intricate script that is 80s/90s pnp rpg writing but I am a little tired right now.
Also Deon - what exactly would you like to know?

I believe Khamuul the Black Easterling is the only one whose name is canon & it is specifically canon that the Witch-king's name was lost to history, the other 7 I dunno.  The Akallabêth (tale of the fall of Numenor) says three of the nine were Numenorian and it looks like your list respects that detail too, Adunaphel and Akhorahil look like Numenorian names, presumably the Witch King is the third.

I'd help...but sadly I know almost nothing except what everyone in this thread knows from reading the trilogy. Haven't read the Silmarillion or Sons of Hurin (or Turin, I think).


I do suggest somehow inserting the Silmarils in game though.

Thing is, the list specifically states that Adunphel is the only Female of the Nazgul. I don't know how much of what I have in pnp form is canon or not - but surprisingly at the time it was not disputed by Tolkein Enterprises (or whatever) nor was it accepted either as far as I know.
So the sourcebook the Nazgul are in place Adunaphel and Akhorahil as Black Numenoreans, while they class the Witch King as a (Fallen) Dunadain, or rather fallen Numenorean; which would means he's a Black Numenorean.

The thing is, names mean nothing because DF generates its own names :D. Remember what's fun with DF TC mods: it's a different universe you love, but totally different, unexpected and a story is different! You can let the bad guys win or kill everyone!

I'm starting to work on graphical version now too.

Currently I am looking for more stuff which is mildly canon which can be added to what is already present.

For the next version I am adding:
- turtle-fish, giant sea turtoises.
- great glow-worms, cave dragon-like monsters in caves.
- badgerfolk, small subterranean tribes.
- ringwraiths, necromancer replacement.
- barrow-wights, night creatures.
- corpse lanters, bogeyman replacement.
- huorns, angry ents.
- yurgs, subterranean beasts of burden.

I am also adding spellbooks, useless weapons which can grant spells. It means dfhack. It means grenades and shit, and adventure mode mining/woodcutting/whatever.

I've also used Putnam's "black speech" and "sindar" languages for the next version. Gonna need more eventually :D.

Well, considering DF and how it operates there's not much we can strip and add down. I'll shift through the stuff I have and try and find a few things for you. Proper names would be great, but...  :(

Nah, proper names would ruin it. You don't want Witch-king of Angmar stealing and marrying Arven... Or do you?

You can do a lot to make it fun to play. Variety and interesting decisions is a key!
