Yea, the Tarkine forests in Tasmania. They are world heritage listed, so can't be cut down currently, but has approached the world heritage group and asked for it to be de-listed, first time that has ever happened in the world. Interestingly logging companies oppose the move.
Years ago, before I was old enough to understand politics, the Tasmanian logging companies and conservationist protesters went head to head. Things got pretty heated and the Greens party became a thing. It is often referred to as the Logging Wars. Eventually the protesters gained traction when people stopped wanting to buy 'unethical' wood, so logging companies had to do something to get rid of the smell of taint and be able to ship their product again. The loggers, protesters and state government came together to sign what was essentially a peace deal, that the logging companies would use renewable methods and the protesters would let up. Tasmania was peaceful again, and life went on...

Now the Liberals seek to rip up that deal and bring back the days of nonrenewable practice... Because fuck hippies!

How would you like to be called Sir Max White, thanks to Abbott?

I wouldn't, I'm a republican, at least as in the sense of favoring a democratic system over the feudal system... Might sound a little sour grapes but seriously, we have more appropriate titles already. Looks like he is just trying to give people something novel and meaningless to boost popularity before the WA election.

I wouldn't mind it. I wouldn't mind it at all.

Yeah, from what I've read, the loggers actually wants responsible practice and stuff, because FSC wood fetch a premium. Also, the Abbot government is being ridiculously realitätfremd, arguing that Tasmanian forest is mostly stuff that has been planted rather with no old-growth forest left.

Not so sure actually, my dad use it in English, but he's German after all. Still a really cool word.

Pretty sure no German-to-English loanwords use accents. Least not over the a... And I think we just call that "unrealistic", so we already have a word for it.

It's not unrealistic, it's "removed from reality".

Yeah, it's one of those word, like Weltanschauung, that you can express by a sentence in English but are better in German.

Over here we tend to use the term 'fuckwit' often, but it doesn't really have the same degree of power as 'realitätfremd'...
In other news, even that knighthood thing is actually another backflip.
