Girl, what do?
« on: March 23, 2013, 07:20:43 pm »

Alright. I guess I'm making one of those "Help with a girl" threads that I despise, but I'm confused as fuck and have no place to turn other than my friends here.

Three weeks ago this girl I work with (Lets call her... Alice) gave me her number and told me to call her sometime. I gave her a call three days later, and we talked for a while. Then a week later I gave her a call when she didn't show up for work to see if she was okay, because I heard from a mutual friend that she was sick.

That was last Sunday. Last thursday, she complained to my dad (I work as a janitor for a company that contracts for my dad's company) that I "Call her a lot."

I guess I'm confused, since I guess a girl asking you to call her anytime means "Don't call me" or some shit like that.

Fuck it, I don't know, maybe I missed some obscure social cue somewhere, and I came off creepy?

I don't know. Any advice from someone would be appreciated. Any Idea where I went wrong? Why would she give me her number if she didn't want me to call her?

I usually do that, I'm trying to change, however.

Two calls a week apart is too much? Yeah, she's kinda crazy, just move on.

Yeah, she's probably decided she's not interested and isn't telling you that in a very sophisticated way.  Definitely move on.

Yeah, she sounds nuts.

Anyway, "all girls are crazy" is just as true as "all guys are crazy." People just be cray cray, yo.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

If you're going to break off whatever you think you have there, do it in a blaze of glory and call her up and ask about it. Make sure to actually call her and not just ask her in person.

The thing is, she's already told him about it.  If she misses him then she can call him up--the onus is on her.
