Scum: (Leafsnail, Imperial Guardsman, alamoes)
The three of you were drinking buddies at one of the many local taverns. When the call to arms came out from the king, you decided to sign up together- Leafsnail to extinguish the horror that lay within, Alamoes for the historical interest, and Imperial Guardsman for loot. You had all the best intentions, but as you camped outside the cloister that night, you shared a vision. A vision of glory, and power. All the more could be had, if you would just get rid of the troublemakers that accompanied you. Yes... great power... everything you could desire.
You awoke in the morning with a new grim purpose. Yes. The three of you would do this. You looked at each other over breakfast and nodded. There was much to be done.
Leafsnail (the Ranger) possesses a Scroll of Phasing.
Imperial Guardsman (the Thief) possesses a Scroll of Curse Weapon.
Alamoes (the Archaeologist) brought naught but his wits.
Scroll of Phasing The target is blocked and vanishes from the game tonight, and reappears at the end of the following day. All other actions on this target fail.
Scroll of Curse Weapon If active, remove the effects of Scroll of Enchant Weapon. Otherwise, all of the target's kills have a 33% chance of failing.
You win when you equal or outnumber the town, all other anti-town factions have been eliminated, and it is impossible for you to lose.

Gyahaha.
You’re no adventurer! There are more FUN things to do than wallow in a dungeon! No, you’re the Brave Knightly Paladin of Zodank, disciple of Gimdal Braineater!
Praise their names! Bash their enemies! The fools! Kill, kill them all! No, wait, we have to blend in!
Yes, blend in. We must do that. We have practiced, yes! Can pretend to be devoid of the glorious madness! It is painful, but we will endure. Zodank will give us great rewards! Yes, he will! Praise his name! Smash his foes! Eat their brains!
No, not yet. The infidels (bash!) have burnt the Cloisters (smash!) and thought you were all dead. But no! We stayed below! Zodank commanded it! We waited, and waited, and went out when waiting ran out! Got the son of the EVIL FOUL GAAAH CURSE HIS NAME the one that slew Gimdal! Bashasmasha! GahhhARAGHAGSIAS!
No... calm. Eat their brains later. Blend in... now. Yesssss. Sssssssssssss, what a silly sound! Am I being a snake? NO! Focus!...sssss. Hehehe. Sss.
Have a gift. A glorious rod, with the power of Zodank. Can plant a seed. Then can unleash seed! Give them glorious madness!
Yes... these brains will do. Eat them and you will see. You will be. Praise ZODANK! HOOT HOOT HOO!

The magic wand you tucked in your robes should give you an edge.
