In what regard? Double axes rule.

A broadsword of steel and a clockwork lance that can extend raptly to hit mid range targets

A halberd with bendy flexible stff portion that can be telescopically extended. It's axehead is jagged and spikey. The other weapon is a thick rod mounted horizontally on the forearm that can spin at high speed to be used as either a sort of shield or a melee weapon.

No magic. Warfare involves Knights backed by armour back by infantry. No magic. Knights are immensely powerful and there are usually about 10 for every 100 men. Only soldiers of Kiltrar are all armed with firearms, other countries will have riflemen companies as a supplement but most of their troops will simply be armed with spears or blades.

Kiltrar is the only place that is truly industrialised, but there's always some people in every country that rely on machines during daily life.

How about a crossbow/ballista that fires catapult shot of assorted kinds rather than bolts?
Or a something on a chain?

All the good ideas and most of the bad ones were made into weapons already.

Hm. A buckler that spins at high speeds, like a saw. The spinning would aid in deflection and cleave through flesh as well.

Kiltran Border, Battle of Hiketo Swamp 1323 A.R.
You trudge through the drear, across the muddy waste remaining after the battle. Corpses crunch beneath your feet of booted steel, as there are far too many to even attempt to avoid trodding upon. Rotting, bleeding, crying soldiers and the burnt shells of tanks stretch as far as your eye can see. You search about for a weapon, as you sundered your original blade in felling an automaton. There are many at hand, but most are broken, crushed or too small for your large hands. You find a Kiltrar captain stuck to the ground by a six foot great sword. Its a bit small, but you figure it will have to do for now. You make to pull it out when he coughs and begins moaning. Apparently he is still alive, and removing the blade would most certainly kill him. If he isn't moved, healers could most certainly make him fit once more, as the remedies the Kiltrar mineral mines produce are most powerful.

You seize a broken longsword instead and move on, leaving the captain to his fate. You've made little progress crossing back to your own lines when a dozen footmen garbed in chainmail and dark orange tunics bearing the crest of Litelache rise from the mud, blocking your path. Their tattered uniforms flap lazily in the smoke-filled breeze, all of them sport wounds and one of them even has a slight limp. Their blades glint in the afternoon sunlight as they move towards you.
