Argons sounds good, but calling them Agers,[agers], short for Agriars sounds good too. Do these have a meaning or are they an in-universe word?

Just made em' up. So yeah they're in-universe words. I was more searching for a word to call the actual machines other than mechs or whatever.

Try having multiple shortened words, particularly in different places.
Agers, 'Mats, Gallums, Hurkers, Mechanized Exoskeletal Fighting Armor

Which country is each one for? I'd use those.

MEFA and 'Mats would be Kiltran, Ager would be Oceania, Gallum would be Patrichlan, Hurkers would be Varen. There would be others, of course.

I'm back, but I've got to go on another trip in a few days. I'm probably not updating anything until after. Sorry guys.

The Ager pivots slightly to his left to face the bulk of your remaining force. The knights spring into action at this obvious threat, charging the machine as soon as it begins to move. Its quad-mounted autoguns blare, and thirteen good men burst into a dark red mist in a matter of two full seconds. The remaining men are scattered, and the Ager has difficulty tracking and shooting the knights as individuals, but it still manages to kill the approaching warriors quickly enough that it doesn't need to retreat any further back towards the camp.

Meanwhile, you've thrown your shield and blade aside, both useless against the armoured giant's powerful weaponry and impenetrable skin. You take up a fallen soldier's lance as well as his ammunition, and sprint towards the Ager's legs, aiming to get underneath its autoguns if it decides to bring them to bear.

The pilot doesn't seem to notice your clumsy approach as you stomp across the muddy battlefield, pulverising corpses and howling wounded beneath your massive weight. By the time you reach the feet of the Ager all of your men are dead, and its body traverses up and pivots left and right as the man inside surveys his handiwork. You pull the primer on one of the lancets, then pull the secondary trigger to engage the timed fuse. You circle round towards the rear, then whip the entire bandolier towards the Ager's left leg joint in the hopes that it might catch on something, but it glances off instead and lands near the mech's foot. The explosives detonate, scarring the metal and tearing a huge gouge from the Ager's left ankle. The torso contorts as the pilot, aware of this new threat, attempts to bring his weapons to bear, but you're just beneath his effective firing angle. He cuts loose with a shell from his howitzer anyway, the shell crunching into the ground behind you, sending earth flying and throwing your body to the ground.

You shake your head several times to clear it and push yourself to one knee, dirt falling from your armour as you unearth yourself. Your lance is no where to be found, as you lost it when the explosion buried you. You must've blacked out for a few seconds, because the Ager has managed to limp backwards far enough to aim his autoguns at you. You've got just enough time to blink in surprise before your entire body explodes into a shower of gore and expensive metal.

Nerev is dead. Make a new character.

That was a lousy interpretation of our actions, which made that a lousy way to die.
