You take the silvers, leaving the armour in Kippa's hands and bidding him farewell. You leave the fortress and walk down the cobbled road to the town marketplace. At midday the place is bursting with activity and you hear many offers.

Armourer: Solid Chainmail [Full=200, Half=150], Dented Iron Plate [Full=500, Half=350], Reinforced Gantinite Plate [Full=1000, Half=850], Liquid Jinso Plate [1500], Solid Jinso Plate [2000]

You won't be able to tell the stats of the armours until you've bought them. Half armour has the same defense as the full armour but doesn't protect your limbs, including your head. We'll do weapons next. If you have any questions about the armour feel free to ask them.

Name: Nerev "Kell" Kelarn
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Home Region: Kiltrar
Affiliation: The Gray Blades

Armour: Plain Tunic [+5 dodge, -10 defence]
Weapons: None
Equipment: None
Wealth: 2050 Silver Coins
Health: Tired [-1 defense]
Status: Gray Blade Recruit
Spoiler: Honour (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Contacts (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Fortress (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: Town (click to show/hide)

Reinforced Gantinite Plate full plate seem good. Right?

What's gantinite & jinso? (common-knowledge kind of info, plus what we've learned as a knight)
What time of day is it?

Euch, hopefully we won't have fought a 2-day battle for a net loss. Probably go for the Gantinite, super-sized weapons might be a bit pricey.

What would be nice is if we could get half Gantinite plate, and then chainmail coif and etc. to cover our limbs.

I declare we wouldn't save enough money to make that worthwhile.

Perfectly legal. You would pay the 'half' price for both.

Gantinite is thicker than normal plate, more like rock than metal, and is nigh impossible to pierce. Slashing and crushing attacks tend to crack it though, but it would have to be a very mighty blow indeed. Its also difficult to make.

Jinso is a combination of rare elements that combines to create an opaque metal that has very little reflection. Its tougher than most metals and its tendency to consume light makes the user very difficult to see. Liquid jinso is the opposite, twinkling brightly and creating flowing patterns across the metal like the surface of the ocean, hence 'liquid' jinso. Its quite easy to see, which hardly matters to most knights, instead causing disorintation during combat, and is just as strong as solid jinso.

Solid jinso. Who needs a weapon when you can just punch them with a fist harder than iron  :D

Liquid jinso. Costs less, we're not looking for stealth. Hopefully we can get a half-decent weapon for 500s.
-edit: unless the grey blades favor stealth heavily, then +1 for solid.

If it's the half-cost and not the difference between half&full, then we'd actually be paying the same damn amount for half-gantinite half-chain as for full gant. What I said before doubly applies.

-edit
btw, have both on the giant v mech thing- give the techno-guys mechs instead of giants.

Aww. Half for both? I just thought it would be cool, but since there's such a small difference, there's no reason to.

I'll let you deliberate for a bit longer. Try to come to some sort of an agreement.

Gray Blades are mercs, so you've got a very diverse crowd. Its really up to you what fighting style our knight has. Your choice of faction dictated the game really, so now we get to play wandering mercenary.

Does solid jinso clank like normal steel? Leaning heavily towards Liquid, but if those sets of armor are usually made with stealth in mind, stealth might be viable. Might.

Metal gear solid, Dave or Solid(his codename) sneak into his brother's(Liquid. His real name never given) base(because he a terrorist). Liquid is not good at hiding, Solid is.
