This might be one of the worst first impressions upon login I've gotten from an MMO in awhile.

I see what you mean...

Who wears TEAL into battle?

King Graham loves his teal.

Frankly, the only redeeming quality was how FABULOUS I looked running into invisible walls, thank you very much.

Reminds me of when I tried Allods. Though with more teal and less competing spammers.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I hear and read so many good things about this game but I just can't sit through it for more than 20 minutes ever. I have tried 4 times and I just find it awful. I only keep trying because I also had that same experience with Dwarf Fortress originally. Ugh can anyone confirm if it is actually deep and rewarding or am I just from the wrong hemisphere to enjoy it?

I really hated the beginning of the game. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, and I was stumbling around aimlessly for about an hour trying to figure out what the hell I was doing and what was going on.  I personally thought it got a lot better when I got into the first chapter of the story quests. I think the story quests, even though they aren't perfect, help more than the tutorial. I haven't seen a very good guide, but I'm sure there's something out there.

You should probably report that to the bug reporting forum. Even if you don't want to play because of it (and I don't blame you) it would be good to let the devs know.

Thanks. It's just so hard with the slow beginning and unusual names for the mechanics and such. I will try again.

I found a pretty decent beginner's guide. It covers most of the game's aspects. I'll add it to the OP, too.

This sounds way to similar to 9Dragons...I played that game before...and being from China means it wouldn't surprise me if this was a rip.

I believe we're talking about full scale colonisation here.  You don't just leave all your shit in the van when you move house.

It is definitely it's own game and not a ripoff. Also, thanks for posting that guide. I needed that!

I'm getting my money together and I have just about enough, if not more, to start our guild up. Does anybody have any guild name (12 characters maximum) and description (300 characters maximum) suggestions?

fake edit: Adding screenshots to the OP.

I have everything ready to create our guild tomorrow. For now, we need guild name and description suggestions. I say we just keep it simple. The name should be BayClan and the description "We need a slogan". If you don't want this travesty of a name to forever grace our titles, you should probably suggest something else.

Posting to watch. This game has yanked several of my cranks, and I want to see how it turns out before giving it a go.

Want to like, but I'm not sold yet. I'm also not seeing any beta keys available anymore, so I suppose no point worrying about it until April. Might give it a try then.

Drunken Beard, but I approve nonetheless.
