Does he wipe while sitting down or standing up??

...how does one wipe whilst sitting down?
It's easier than standing up. The sitting position means that the buttocks are spread for easier access than standing.

...how do your get your gorram hand in under there?
Scootch forward and reach behind.

That being said, there are people who love being told about DF but wouldn't play it. This is to be expected, as DF is a storymaking game where you are encouraged to perceive events within a narrative of your own making for greater enjoyment.

I have a group of about 13 people I commonly play online games with, all very different people. All of them love hearing my stories about the two headed FB that my kitten killed with a single swipe. Only one of them actually enjoys playing the game other than me, and they've all tried it at one point or another. They just can't see the depth behind the game itself when they play it.

DF is one of those things that people really need to approach with an open mind. If you manage to get someone to sit down and play it, knowing that it's hard but willing to push through, you'll probably find that they'll enjoy playing. It's that initial learning-cliff scaling that's the most important part of introducing someone to DF. If they can get over the edge and raise their hands in victory, there's no reason for them not to play.

Then it happened. Then I cringed. Then I picked it up and beat him to death with it, and then his buddies, too.
You beat a man to death with his dick?

Hehehe.  Political and religious debates reach a consensus more often than ones about the proper method of bottom wiping.

Wait. Wut. Is this... wiping standing up thing... is this actually a thing that people, like, do? For, like, serious? Or is this just too much sarcasm for me to catch?

Knock your dad unconscious, or use chloroform, and duct-tape him in a chair. Make sure to bolt the chair to the floor too. In front of him should be a table with a computer or laptop on it, running DF. When he wakes up, he will at first resist, but by utilizing threats or pain techniques you might be able to force him into playing the game. Make him play until he starts liking the game. Also, make sure that it's the vanilla version that he's playing - no mods or tilesets whatsoever.
