What exactly is so terrible about World of Warcraft?
Time to throw my rock.

Spoiler: Wall of Text (click to show/hide)
TL;DR: WoW ruined the lore of my favorite RTS games, and did a really shitty job of telling no story whatsoever.
Yeah, no, never touching that game again.

I'm sorry but what?

L2lore before posting. Oh and read a book once in awhile.

Nice. While you're still a lunatic you necro an old thread, tell off someone while you're in the wrong, and come off as arrogant. Well.

Read the intro, Draenor is Outland.
Gilneas has entries for Warcraft II and III.

... and that's all the effort I care to put in. Enjoy your stay on the forums though, I'm sure you'll go far with your bubbly personality.

Darkmere, I suspect that is an alt somebody created just for that purpose. The writing is familiar.

Well, he IS right about one thing. The Draenei aren't from Draenor/Outland.
They're from Argus. They fled to Draenor after Sargeras and the Burning Legion came by and corrupted pretty much everybody.

Though, I honestly don't know if their homeworld was a retcon or simply an unknown before TBC.

It was a retcon.
They first appeared as (Ugly) outland natives in W3:TFT
Then when TBC came about they got retconned into pretty blue goatpeople refugees from argus.
The ugly ones encountered in W3 (and during questing) are explained by draenai being suspectible to mutation when exposed to fel energies.

Ah, alright. I couldn't remember too much since I haven't played much WC3, and about all I knew of the Draenei pre-TBC were the fully corrupt ones that sat around in Swamp of Sorrows.

TBC also added the Broken, which were kind of a mid-level corruption tier between the "regular" Draenei and the fully corrupt Draenei. Basically, bridging the gap.

Ah, my mistake then. I sometimes forget what the internet is all about.
