You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

So that was it. Your master completely gone. It was time to make your own path.
You bend down and scoop up the tile fragments, swinging your gun back onto your back. And with a single last look at the retreating creature, and at the mosaic, you turn and walk back out the door. Now you just had to figure out which way your path led. Your mind wandered back to that subway entrance, but was that really your own goal?

Well it looked like all you could do now was to return home, and hope the others were waiting for you there. Maybe they could shed some light on that encounter, seeing as how they ran at the first opportunity.
It takes until dawn to arrive at the sewer tunnels, by which time you are tired to the bone. The journey was thankfully uneventful otherwise. However, as you make your way along the final tunnel, your gaze is drawn by a single pawprint in the mud. It was large - a hellhounds. And heading straight towards your base.

You decide that caution is the better part of valour, and search around for a hiding place nearby. In the end, you settle for one of the side rooms - the very room in fact where you first encountered Cina. You sit down across from the doorway, your gun across your lap, and settle down to wait.
An hour or two later you are snapped from a shallow nap by the sound of dragging. This is promptly followed by a thud, and a grey blur flies past the door. A yell comes next:
 'And don't come back!'
You step out of your hiding place then, and just narrowly duck under the flaming sword that glance off the wall behind you. This is promptly followed by a laugh.
'John, how are you? And how the blazes did you get away from the immortal? Nothing survives those things. Except for Phenex, and that was only by running.'
He guestures over your shoulder at the limping form behind him, before grinning and embracing you. After a moment he releases you, spins you round, and with his mechanical arm propels you down the tunnel.
'Okay, I think it's time to swap stories. Then we need to figure out what to do. Maybe blindly following some random Aztec spirit wasn't such a good idea after all.'

A half hour later you are all gathered around the table in the main area. Surma seems unharmed, but Phenex has a large bite wound on his leg. he sees you looking, and starts to speak:
'As you can see, they got me. Not with the darts thankfully, But still, not exactly pleasant. I made a break for it and Surma here found me trying to transform to get away, and carried me here. So here we all are.'

((Firstly, it's DISCRETION which is the better part of valor.

Secondly,)) ask about future plans.
