Hi, I played fortress mode for some time and I wanted to try adventurer mode, but either this game is bugged or it is really intent on stopping me early. Let me give you a small review of my tries.
1: I spawn in the wilderness, I run around a bit and reach a river. I run along side the river until suddenly a alligator jumps out of the river and rips off my foot in first round. I then try to stand only to be charged into the river where I drown (and presumably the alligator eats me).
2: I spawn in a small village, so far so good. I ask around and everyone wants me to kill the local vampire, excellent. Not only do I find a mercenary crossbow man, the vampire is also near 3 villagers, so I initiate battle with her and pull back. The 3 villagers and my mercenary do a fine job of battling her and such as shes about to die I charge in so I can claim I helped. I reach her the very last round she is alive which she uses to stab me in the foot with her carving knife, severing my nerves leaving me permanently crippled. Game over.
3: I spawn in a large town, excellent. I run around a bit and find a market, seems theres some stray dogs around. Well... Stray dogs, who cares about them? I need fighting practise and these will do just fine. Well seems stray dogs is like stray cats in ancient Egypt. Everyone goes fucking bananashit that I attacked a stray dog and the entire town is quite literally chasing me through the streets. I managed to slip out of town alive and without a stretch, only a single farmer is chasing me with his carving knife. So I turn around to kill him. He dies in 3 rounds, in last round he stabs me in the foot with his carving knife. Severing my nerves leaving me permanently crippled. Game over.
4: I spawn in a castle town, and this time I'm bit weary of melee so I buff up my archery skills. I run around town finding out theres a monster in the sewers, so far so good. I find an entrance down the sewers and meet a goblin with a spear. I laugh at him as I pepper him with arrows, he reaches me the last round he is alive and stabs me in the foot.
Severing my nerves leaving me permanently crippled. Game over.
5: I spawn in the wilderness, this time im really fucking tired of this, so I spend all my points in armor and dodging. I run around a bit and run into 3 wolves. I laugh at them trying futile to attack me while I slay 2 of them, then the last wolf being badly wounded rips of my foot.
WTF is up with this game and its fucking foot fetish?
