Sneak sounds like where its at, how close can you be to someone before they spot you, lets say at low sneak skill and legendary sneak?

Also does breaking visibility guarantee you can enter sneak mode?

Sneak skill also affects the sneaking speed a lot.
The chance to be spotted is also greatly affected by enemies' observer skill.

And yes, you can always hide if nobody sees you, but your enemies will try to find you where they've seen you the last time.

Well I find wrestling and breaking necks works quite well, I reckon if combine that with sneaking I may just be able to survive the harsh wilderness of masterwork adventure mode.

p.s. any tips for navigation, landmarking, and generally figuring out the map? I gather spamming "locations" at random civilians is the best way to build a picture of the local area.
